One liner posts....

Ok...my voice is small here, but, having been here for a very long time, along with the *oldbies* and founders, and moderators, I feel I need to say something. Building your *post count* to get a banner, an avatar, a special customized title under your name, or just to well..DANG IT...Have OH SO MANY POSTS!!!! Is damn annoying. One word, one line, irrelevant posts....or posts to hold a conversation which should have been in YM or AIM...is annoying when most *normal* people are trying to read a thread on the boards...you have to skip all the "sure" and "I'll do that" and *Balto rocks" type posts...and the double posts simply because OTHER boards let people double, triple and quadruple post.
My point being, it is my suggestion that continous breaking of the *useless post* rule... gets consequences...warning once, then posts disappear, then banning....*shrugs* Its just getting out of hand...
*my two cents*

I agree too. I did some double posting and got all these warnings. I didn't know about double posting because on other forums they don't care about double posting.70-106196059216 Jul 2004, 09:15 UTC
This is why people should read the FAQ and GUIDELINES!! They aren't there to look pretty, it is a requirement when you join to say you have read them.

Yeah, it's very frustrating when people DON'T read the guidelines, and these problems come up. At this point, I am also getting tired of the constant reminders. Perhaps it's time for less talk and more action.

I agree next person to break a rule gets banned.

Just an observation: some rules may encourage this sort of thing. If people get extra privelages or status after X number of posts, it's an incentive to post more.

Yes but there is a difference between posting constructively and with intelligence to posting just "lol" or "cute". I don't think anyone minds people posting more to get a privelage as long as they have something to say.
