Two suggestions

Introductions & advertising

How about two boards to make. One for introdutions, where new members can introduce themselves to the member here.

And the other for Advertising, where you can advertise your site(s) and/or forums.

How about that?
Ive also suggested for a "Introdution-forum". For all Newbies. It would be a good idea.

An Advertising forum could be good to maybe.

Fluke has already maked an Introdution-Topic.
An Advertising Forum? Sounds like a good idea.
Yeah I am waiting to hear what Silver has to say. The introductions topic should forfil that role though as it is pinned meaning it will always stay at the top. As for advertising I don't know, I'll leave that one for Silver.
I think that the pinned topic will do fine for introductions, but maybe it would be better suited in the "Real Life" section... *shrugs*

On the other hand, I think an advertising forum may be a bad idea, here's why: In rule #6 and FAQ #8, Silver makes it very clear she does not want people signing up just to advertise... But she never says directly that it's ok to post them as a normal member in the rules or the FAQ's. However, anyone who's been around for a few days will realize that it is ok to post a few sites of theirs as long as they are intending to stick around and contribute otherwise. I think that if we add a section for advertising, it would give people who browse around and skip reading the rules or FAQ's that it's fine to just jump in, post their sites, and jump out again.

Besides, we only get about... Perhaps one or two links a month, and that's in the summer when we're busy. Last two links I remember were Dunder and Lone Wolf's (the other one, not me) sites.
Does that mean I can't shamelessly plug my website every week? *pouts*
Heh, heh. I guess I picked a bad time to bail out on on-line stuff. But I'm back and I'll hopefully remain here even when spring break ends. And Khaki, just link the site through your signature. :p Oh yes, the suggestion...

Advertisement boards? I hate to shoot you down, but NO. I'm not going to waste a whole forum on that.  I'll change the FAQs a bit, to make sure that frequent posters are allowed to advertise their sites.

I'd rather have a topic pinned, but that might get tedious. First you'd have someone posting that they're new, then a whole round of "welcomes" would follow. It might get a little sloppy in just a single thread. On the same paw, I noticed that a lot of newbies tend to hang around the General Balto Discussion forums before moving on to the Everything Else ones. So it might be best to place a new forum in The Ice Cave forums section.

Does that sound reasonable?
Could we put an advertisement in our signature, something like a link to a website maybe? That way people could advertise and we wouldn't have to make anything new.
I don't see why not, I'm doing that very thing right now.  And so are others. ^_^;
Oops... I'm sorry, Silver. I was kinda joking there. What I meant was, would it still be ok for me to post messages regarding updates to my website, every once in a while?

Although I could keep the posts limited to the ART section, and make it short and sweet, like," Here's what I finished yesterday" *INSERT URL HERE*

I agree with the introduction forum  :)
Re-addressing the issue:

I was wondering if a re-ordering of the forums would keep things neat?  By that I mean a section just before The Ice Cave Forums.

New Section here:
-Annoucements
-Introduction Forums
-The Suggestion Box

Does anyone think that would be a bit too much, or would it work out?
I wasn't sure at first, but I say, "go for it." It couldn't hurt to try it, and, if it becomes too much of an annoyance, you could just get rid of it.

I'm in.  :D
Sounds good Silver, I'm happy to give it a go
Cool, I'll try to work on it this upcoming Wednesday. (I won't have time during the weekend, thanks to Easter stuff. ^^')

Oh, and it's cool to see people actually using those Journal icons I uploaded to TIC. ^^

Very cool. I'll be lookin' forward to the changes. :;):

And your welcome. Those icons are sweet. How could I pass 'em up?
