I wonder if 15 might be just a tad low as an upper limit on posts per 24 hrs. I sem to be averaging around 10 posts at the moment, all of which I think are substantial. This may well drop off as I settle in; still I find myself wondering whether I'm approaching my limit for the day and ought perhaps to not post. Perhaps I should have not posted this. What if it takes me over the limit. Aaagh! See?
I completely support the push to discourage posting style that results contributing one line of dialog at a time to a RP thread, or 'lol' or 'ROTFLAO' to other threads (though I gotta admit a guilty pleasure in sometimes having someone tell me they ROTFLTAO to something I've posted). But anyway this is taken care of with the minimum 15 character limit in posts.
So, unless the maximum 15 posts rule is because of a bandwidth problem, in which case it's perfectly understandable, it risks catching people like me, who during squandered evenings are capable of churning out a large number of hopefully worthwhile and substantial posts.
If that's the intent, no worries, and sorry for contributing to the problem. If OTTOH it's part of the effort to boost quality over quantity, could I humbly suggest giving it a nudge upwards, perhaps to 20 per day? I suspect the IM style RP posts would be churning out numbers well in excess of 20, and I'd like to think that if I happen to bang out 16 posts in 24 hours, my quality per post hasn't nescessarily slipped.
Just for your consideration Yours seem like good ideas to me; I would just tweak that one parameter upwards a tad.
