Dont you guys think that the music industry is going down?
More and more low quality music appears on the market, and soon we will be floded by cheap music(hope im wrong).

True, I don't think a lot of people are thrilled with the appearence of Ashlee Simpson, Jesse McCartney... DREAM STREET... haha... er... *cough* yeah, so the music industry seems to have been loosening the tight security. ;P And what with losing some great bands... *sniff* Uh... did blink-182 really break up? Dang. Yeah, it's spiraling down, man. o_o
...that wasn't organized at all... sorry for just jumbling all my thoughts together there. :P

Ya, blink-182 did break up. Anyway, back to the subject. Ya I totally agree with you shdrex. There does to seem more bad quality music popin up.

Blink 182 broke up? O_O; I really liked their stuff.
Well, currently, it seems to be going down. I agree with Neon...I hate that Ashlee Simpson and Jesse What's-His-Name crap. It sucks. And I can't believe how many people actually like it. Bleh. But, quite a few good new albums came out last year, so that was good. Just too much of that hip-hop and pop crap is coming up, in my opinion. That's all MTV 2 is now. And it's taking over FUSE now! Noo!

We need more Blink-182-, Linkin Park-, Simple Plan-, New Found Glory-, and Green Day-like bands, IMO.
Ah... remember the good old days when you could get in the car and turn on the radio and something like "Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)" would come on? Yeah. Now I get in the car and turn on the radio and some Hilary Duff crap comes on... Yuck. 118-110644348728 Feb 2005, 04:26 UTC
I heard Blink 182 didn't break up, they're just taking a vacation.
IMO, we don't need more bands like Linkin Park, Simple Plan or New Found Glory. We need more bands like Betrayer or more 80s metal influenced bands; bands that have actual talent.
All I can say is America is too trendy, the only thing they really care about is being cool with the latest trend. I think somebody should make an album and call it Trendimerica.

You all are right in some aspects.
But in the music needed in the industry would be:
More Pink Floyd (loved his concert on the berlin wall)
More Scorpions, Guns and Roses, Judas Priest, Megadeth etc.
More quality music because every artist has his up's and downs, but all of them are getting too famous witch damages the quality.

I dunno, I'm not really in to all that 80's stuff. The 80's are passed.115-110950221402 Mar 2005, 05:22 UTC
It doesnt matter the year in wich the music was made but it's quality, and i think that those guys i mentioned had almost no disapointing melodies, all that where fans still are to this day.
(thanks for my moms huge cd collection, i had heard a lot of music till nou, and formed my music tastes)
