Accident prone?

Should i wrap my horse in bubblewrap?

OK, during Christmas break one of my horses, Sloppy Jeaux, busted down a section of fence at 3:00 in the morning. He, Mackie, and Storm all got out on the road... and well, you get the rest. Mackie died on the spot with all the cop cars and Storm nearly broke her leg. (I know- if one had got hit it should have been Jeaux.)

Anyway, she's doing much better, but then she wouldn't eat at ALL. Turns out she didn't like the particular brand of feed (she has good taste).

Now she has an eye infection! So should I just wrap this horse in bubblewrap or what?!

Lol- I can just see her bouncing around the pasture in a giant bubblesuit. :D
Wow, sounds like you have a wild horse. O_o  Perhaps it's a behavioral problem in some aspects?  I'm not sure myself, I don't know a lot about horses.
She's very well behaved, but if you mean the one who busted the fence down (Sloppy Jeaux) he's just a colt and needs something to do. Also, his mother died when he was three weeks old (or so his former owners told us) so he's going to act a bit 'childish' longer than most horses would. So yes, he does have behavioral problems, but he's shaping up nicely.  Just the other day he completely shredded a big, patio-style umbrella that was beside the pasture gate. He had his leg stuck in it, too.

Storm? No behavioral problems, except for trailering, but that's getting much better. But yeah, she is a little wild. Not for novice riders by all means. She's a sleek, black, runnin'-machine.

I talked to someone the other day who says her horses get an eye infection this time of year a good bit. Today her eye looks completely normal, but I;m still considering an equine bubble-suit (j/k).
