Has anyone seen this yet? Any opinions on it? I myself don't really want to, it looks very cheesy imo.

No, it's coming out on Feb 1st like B3 in the US. But, I think it'll be interesting until I see it. Then, I'll judge it.
Well, I've seen previews at the store, and from the looks of the animation, I myself will not buy or even rent this movie. The animation looks really cheap, and the colors don't match up well. Pass!
I will rent this movie at some point it looks good to Me, But being that it comes out against "Balto 3" nothing else matters
I've seen it
Here's the short review I left on Keyframe and on my boards :
Mulan 2 was released in France (I'm wondering why nowadays, most DTV sequels are coming out everywhere in the world before the US...), and I've watched it. I must admit that this is one of the best DTV sequels from Disney. Maybe not at the level of TLK 1 1/2 (which had the best animation for a DTV sequel IMO), but the animation is still very good. However, I still didn't really like it. It is much different from the original : while the original was action-packed, this one is only based on love stories, and I found the story really boring and highly previsible. I didn't found Mushu particularly funny, and the songs weren't really good too, except from the main one ("I wanna be like other girls"). That's a shame that Disney can do rather well animated sequels like this (higher budget?), and can't give a solid content to it. IMO, Universal is doing exactly all the contrary...

Mulan 2 is released tomorrow! It really does look promising and really close to the original art. I've read parts of an almost-detailed summary of much of the movie ad to me, it has too many different stories that are somehow entangled in the same ball of yarn.
I might rent it when I go back home for spring break (WoC is first! I'll buy that when it first comes out) or something. I think it'll be good.

Hey, the animators on this movie worked hard on it. I don't blame them for trying. I wouldn't mind actually seeing it because my parents are going to get that with B3. I'll watch it and I'll just review it after the viewing. It's got to be interested even though it's not as it used to be. Give nice credit for the animators. I would.
I seen a few previews for this movie and I can honestly say I won't buy it; but knowing my mother, she probably will.
I may rent it just so I can review it.
I may rent it too. Mushu is pretty funny and cute ^_^ It looks almost like the first movie. I might as well see it. and see how I like it.
Well I saw it, and here's my review for it.

The other day, I won $200 during a Bingo game, so I decided I'd buy some DVDs. I got the Special Edition of A Bug's Life, and Mulan II. The previews I saw of it on the Disney Channel didn't look at all bad to me, and Mushu's voice was hard to distinguish from Eddie Murphy, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I have yet to watch it, but I'm sure I'll like it. After all, I'm a sequel person. If it were up to me, I'd have Balto sequels until kingdom come. But if I had any say in it, the Balto universe would be preserved intact, and the sequels wouldn't fall short.
I know a lot of you hate sequels, so please, don't hurt me!

I don't blame you, Aniu. Some people are liking very little sequels these days. But, I kinda liked Mulan 2 actually. It may not be perfect, but I liked the song 'I wanna be like other girls'. It's fun

In most cases I like sequels too
Nice review, GK! I love Mulan II, I watched it right after having watched the DVD of the first(I ended up being awake past five in the morning). I really liked the music, especially the music that plays on the DVD menu. I even got the soundtrack yesterday, it was only seven bucks, so I figured what the heck.
Mushu's VA did a fantastic job: there were only very few instances where I could tell he wasn't Eddie Murphy, and even that was hardly noticeable.

I might see it... depends.

Never have been intersted in Mulan.
Hated the first movie.
Graykitty your work is awesome love the Balto puppy picture.
Keep doing the good work!
From what I've seen of the preveiws/commercials, it looks like the animation is being done very well. That's always a big plus. I'm happy to see that, too, because I always thought Mulan's animation was so original and unique... it would be a shame to see it changed or in worse quality like you see in so many DTV sequels under the ''animation'' category.
