How it snows... i don't love it so.
Too much snow can be troublesome.

About a week ago I got about 10 inches of snow where I live. It was a tad but fun at first and I even enjoyed the sight of it and the quietness it brought at night. Then, it started to get old, fast. I quickly found that practicing my parallel parking on the street would be impossible because the city didn't bother to clear all of the streets. So people had dug their cars out of the snow and saved their spots by putting objects in the way to discourage stealing. I then noticed while it was possible for me to get my mini-van out of the gate, it was more than troublesome to get it back in.
By that I mean, the gate would open wide enough to get it out but finding the space to get it back in was another matter altogether. Thanks to the snow that had been heaped up by the gate, hindering it's closing function. Finally, there was walking.
I'm not sure how other places work, but in Philadelphia, you're not required to shovel the snow on the sidewalk in front of your house. So some people shovel and others don't. Which makes traveling on the side walk difficult and downright dangerous when the snow melts and re-freezes into hard ice. Gah, no wonder i'm not a big fan of snow.
But it is fun to take pictures of (from last Sunday the 23rd):

Your thoughts on snow? 116-109430913231 Jan 2005, 17:09 UTC
Sometime it snow here, but never 10 inches, usualy 2-3. I like snow because when I'm lucky the street is frozen and I miss school.

I like the snow and I don't really mind the cold weather. But with the street and walking I know what you mean Silver. The city I live in doesn't have very many snowplows and I don't live on a main road so my street doesn't get plowed until 2 days after the storm or 1 day if we are lucky. For the sidewalks the used to have a law here for shoveling them but they don't anymore so not a lot of people shovel the sidewalks now.

I love cold weather, but we hardly EVER get snow. Got a little this year, not even an inch and it melted as soon as it hit the ground. But my friends up in Arkansas got a whole bunch- they saved me a snowball.

Well, the same storm that dumped 10 inches for you in Philly only dumped about 6 over here! Frankly, I would have welcomed any extra snow, since it's been a really quirky winter. First it snows about 2 inches in the first 2 months, then it gets freezing cold for about a week with windchills in the -30 range, then we get freezing rain one morning and then we get smacked with 6 inches. Then the next day, the temp shoots up to 40. WHAT NEXT?
Only problem here is that even if it snows like 6 inches, you're still forced to go to school. Even if it snows a foot, you'll probably still have to go to school. Stubborn school district, I go to...

I didn't have much of a choice in that, Tala. I had a scholarship to Arizona State University, but my mother didn't want to be alone. So I headed back to Philly with her. ^_^ And I ended up at Temple University instead.
Well, I'm feeling a lot better now. Other than light dustings the snow hasn't been too bad. In fact, the sidewalks are nearly clear and I think I can finally get my van out of the backgate. I personally hope that's the last big storm of the season, and any others are mild in comparison.
If I could will it, I'd send my snow to the rest of you who'd enjoy it.

Heh that's cool.
I haven't seen many Colt Vistas around, in contrast to the Voygers I see everywhere. I hope her side door is easier to open and close than mine. 70-109096490508 Feb 2005, 00:10 UTC
There's alot of em' where I live, the side door's child lock comes on everytime we put gas in it, but it's pretty easy to fix. The passenger side door won't shut very good, the wind pulled it hard and something came loose and now, it looks like the door isn't shut, but it really is.

Here's pictures of our little winter storm we had in Seattle a month ago. Oddly enough, after the snow was done, it warm up to sixty degrees; after a month of highs in the high 30s to low 40s. And a side note, the last picture was taken on the same day it snowed. I took a good amount of pictures but these are the ones the like the best.115-110950221401 Mar 2005, 05:39 UTC

Just a month ago we had a little over 2 feet of snow, up here around New England. In New Hampshire, we had 2 days off from school in a row, which is not great. Anyways, i love snow.
