In an attempt to jump start the forums, it can't hurt to start some new topics.
Well, it's the second, so the New Year's celebrations are officially over. Did anyone go out on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day? If so, did you do anything of interest that was worth sharing?
Personally, I didn't do much in the way of celebration on New Year's Eve. I found myself quite busy with chores and taking care of the mini-van that I'd finally got on my own property. My mother and I were supposed to go to church, but it didn't work out that way. So I ended up playing Xenosaga on the PS2 for a few hours, sleeping through the New Year's countdown and waking back up at 2am to chat with friends on AIM.
I spent yesterday actually working on my website, watching DVDs, playing video games and of course chatting online at TBL. All in all, the day was a litttle dull, but not the worse. I hope everyone else had a more exciting time than I did. ;) And if anyone did party, I hope they didn't get too drunk. Heh. 116-109430913202 Jan 2005, 19:26 UTC
The night of the 31st I went to the circus. It was the second time in my life.
On the 1st I did nothing special. I only stayed at home.
6000 posts! My compliments!

Ah cool. Sounds like you had lots of fun on the 31st. I haven't been the circus since I was very young, but I do have memories. ^^
Wow, if you hadn't of said anything, I would have never noticed that I made 6000 posts. And thanks! *Cheers.*

My new years was about the same as yours Silver. New years eve I had to work till 10pm but once I got home I just watched movies and played video games. Then new years day was a lazy day for me I chatted, watched a few movies, and played a few video games.

Went over to a friends house played a game then we went into their hot tub. That's about all, oh and watched fireworks.

Didn't do much New Year's Eve, except get some price quotes on a future video game purchase, and then I just sat at home.
Not much on New Year's Day, either, except I finally got addicted to DDR while playing at the store. For an amateur, I was actually halfway decent. After that, I got off work a half-hour early since it wasn't very busy.

Well, I did some off-roadin' in mah Bronco (picture of her in my profile), and made some videos. Went to WalMart. Nothing big. ^^

I guess I wasn't the only lazy one on New Years then. ;) The best part about it was not having to go to work but I still got paid for Friday and Saturday. Sometimes, I love those Union rules.
And you made more than one video, 27? XD 100-109832446603 Jan 2005, 14:46 UTC
Ah well...due to the South ASia tsunami crisis....I hardly see anyone here celebrating except for a handful...for me I just slept through as if it was like 1 Jan is just another day.

I was watching a little news on NYE. There was a fatal crash near my house that afternoon. Killed one person. So sad. I fell asleep just after midnight because of my comfy pilliow.
Cheers to 6000 posts!

I'd love to share my experiences with you all.. I got very drunk, crawled into the house around the early hours of the morning and then watched my Tremors DVD with Mr Kevin Bacon in for about 45 minutes before going to bed and sleeping off the hang over

My family and I saw the ball drop in Times Square, but that was at 9pm our time.
The female members were getting ready for bed when it turned 2005 here. We hugged and said "Happy New Year". CW was in his room, so I went in and gave him a hug. (I'm big on hugs.)
On the first, my daughter was packing to go back to college and she was very slow doing it. She didn't want to leave yet. We watched the Rose parade and tried to get to bed early since it was a 3:30am start the next day.
Sunday the second found us on the road at 4:20am travelling to Salmon Arm. Meanwhile at home CW and my Mom went back to bed. (Lucky!) We had good roads and no tears were shed as my daughter got on the church bus to travel to Sexsmith, AB where her school is. She telephoned at 8pm and told me how cold it was (-22C). She'll be home in April at the end of her semester. Yea! Until then it's e-mails, snail mail and Sunday night telephone calls. Plus a lot of hugs from the tiger.

Sounds like a very busy new year and day after. *nods* I don't think I've ever been up at 3:30am for the day. Gone to bed at that time though. ^^;

Yeah, I made a few videos, Silver. I may release them if the chat gets too boring Saturday night. ;)

Games, games, games, games, games. Then some swimming, eating, a movie, and more games.
I went to a LAN party for New Year's eve, it started on the Friday then went through until Thursday, I stayed until Tuesday though (it was getting a bit repetitive by that stage). The guys who were hosting the party had a large swimming pool, so there was lots of fun there (southern hemisphere guy here), as well as just general geek socializing. I haven't been to the last one in almost a year, so it was great.

LOL, Fluke! Let me see........New Years Eve. I mainly watched all the countdowns for New York and here in Chicago, then at midnight me and mom had a toast to some very nice whine that taste very good.:D I think I got a little sick off it though, cause that night I felt naucious and in the morning I felt pretty odd, so, yeah.
New Years Day, I don't really remember. I think I went shopping or something.:p

I'm sorry to hear that Leonel... I hope you feel a bit better later on in life about your people. If I was one of the survivors, I swear I wouldn't live long enough for a year ...
