There should be a chance to see northern lights here!

Very pretty. One of the great wonders of nature. How I enjoy looking at it.

Ah... My mom saw some over here in the US near Canada. She didn't wake me up for it! GRR! I'm sure that they are the most beautiful lights in the sky you'll ever see!

Yeah, I remember when that happened. I heard it was visible, but it was cloudy here in PA at the time, so I missed it to. Supposedly it was supposed to be clear. *rolles eyes*
But that raises a question. Can these lights be visible even during cloudy skys?

I wouldn't think so, Lone Wolf. The lights can only be seen when the stars are visible. I swear my mom should've took a picture of them or woke me up because i didn't mind seeing the pretty lights.

*Nods* A shame she did not wake you up. But another oppertunity might present itself again later.
The stars will do for me. in the northern lights absens. They are a buety in itself as well. It just depends on how you look at it.

I wanna see them too!
But I'm too far south . . . . in VA
It's icy down here right now, but it's not the same . . . .
I've never seen them in real life, but I betcha they're really beautiful!

Wow, that seems so surreal... seeing the sky light up like that.
Baltolover, do they stay in one place? I never really thought about it but I've always had the impression that they move around, but thats probably because they look so squiggley in the pictures I've seen

I saw them up here in northwestern Oregon about a year ago. None of the spectacular moving colors unfortunately, just plain white(there were clouds blocking part of the view). Nevertheless it was cool to see the sky lit up.

ON Halloween last year,I saw an aurora,it was mostly reddish but it sadly it wasn't the actual aurora borealis. But its the closest thing you will get I guess!

I bearly see auroras where i live. There is just too much light pollution in New England. I hope someday, i might be able to see some auroras. Hopefully.
Wolfen~ thinks real hard.

I just raised in my mind the question:
Can these lights be seen in Romania?
Because this would be a wierd phenomenon.
Anyway i think the northen lights (we roms call em: Aurora Boreala) are a unique thing, witch should be admired in their full beauty without film or anything beause they can never reproduce the true feeling.
(Even if i have a uncle in Canada he never told me about them.)

No I'm sorry, you can't see the northern ligths in Romania, it's too south.

How i first said the northen lights in Romania would be a strange phenomenon.
