My dad's idea, actually...

My friend was formerly in the rabbit-breeding business but decided to stop and sell all of her bunnies. She said she'd prefer that they were bought by somebody she knew, so she offered me a male gray and white dwarf rabbit.

I was happy to hear from my parents that I could actually get it ( for only $35.00, too, inclusing cage! ) when my dad said no, we need TWO because it would get lonely. Well, tomorrow I'm going to pick up BOTH rabbits ( the other was $8 ) and I couldn't be happier.

I can't believe my dad not only said yes, but actually wanted another one! Kinda funny. I think he really loves pets as much as I do; when we bring home a new dog at first he pretends to not like it at all, and then I'll walk in and he'll have it on the couch petting it and baby-talking.

Go figure.

Well first of all, I think that you getting bunnies is a great idea Nashoba. Bunnies are so cute, especially Thumper from Bambi. Also, how old are you Nashoba? Second, it seems that your dad is an animal lover, but who does not like to show his love for animals to the family (just an opinoin). Third, good luck with your new pet rabbits Nashoba. Keep them in their cages or they might get squished by youe horeses :laugh:

Good luck with them rabbits, what can i say u have a father whom loves animals and that is a good thing.
My dad loves birds and flowers dont know what makes him love the flowers, but whatever everybody needs a hobby.

Good luck Nashoba. I bought a rabbit last year, it's dead after 1 week.

I'm sorry togo. I was sad when my old dog died. Cool rabbits! i love rabbits. my friend has some. They're adorable.

I just got the rabbits today! There's soooo cute. Since all of my family are Lord of the Rings/ The Hobbit freaks we named one Bombur and the girl we named Rosie. The Rosy could also be from Balto, too.

Wolfen: lol, everybody knows my dad is an animal lover, and he doesn't really try to hide it- I was really talking about this one time when we brought back a puppy because we were afraid he'd get taken and it was a litte bit of a... -surprise- for him. Lol, it was really funny. And my age? Well, all I can say is that I'm in High School, lol- doesn't really say that much does it?

Well, thanks everybody!

The rabbits are doing real well so far. They love lettuce, but they hate our cat. He couldn't care less about the rabbits though, so no worries.

I have a rabbit and its a dutch. I had it for 5 years already, and its doing fine.
