The good news is the forums and finally back open. The bad news is that our vacation is over. So I hope everyone had a good month and a half off. ;) Because the news only gets worse from here.

Remember that hack that stopped people from posting one word? Well, for some reason it doesn't work on this version of ikonboard, despite me testing it with a member account several times. So, until I find something useful, we're going to have to keep an eye on members again. I've also lost the ability to edit members from their user info hack. It doesn't seem to work on the 3.1.2a board. Also on IB 3.1.2a, the feature for subscribing to whole forums is gone. Which makes moderating a little harder. Other than that, everything should be business as usual.

Yeah, it's a really annoying new feature. Sometimes, I wonder what the IB creators were thinking. O_o;

Alternatively, you might try messing with the ModCP's topic watch section. I believe it allows you watch topics in any forum you choose, through e-mail. ;)\n\n

So are we still CGI? Or were we ever cgi? lol I can't remember what the problem was, what has changed?

The whole CGI thing was a miscommunication. The Ikonboard runs on perl script through CGI, and always has. What we changed was the database that stored the information. We changed from DBM to MySQL. :;):
