Lol I've had the mindset for quite some time to start a topic on this game, and have just gotten around to it since i'm quite the lazy wolf =P. Anyway...
Devil May Cry 3 is an action game produced by Capcom, where you fight a variety of enemies with a large assortment of guns and melee weapons.
Story: A prequel to the first Devil May Cry, you play as a half-demon/half-human demon hunter named Dante, whose favorite weapons are dual pistols named Ebony and Ivory and a Broadsword called Rebellion. Dante's father was a demon known as the Legendary Dark Knight Sparda, who rebelled against his fellow demons and fought to save the human race. He sealed all the evil entities in the demon world, but lost most of his powers as a result. Many years later, Dante's brother, Vergil, decides to break the seal to the demonic world, and it's up to Dante to stop him.
Gameplay: Alright. While the story is good, this is where the game truly shines. Dante has four different styles which give him certain abilities in battle. You're able to choose which style best suits your own playing style.
Trickster: Gives Dante the ability to pull off evasive and acrobatic maneuvers, like running up walls, dashing, and eventually air dashing and teleporting.
Swordmaster (my personal favorite): Allows Dante to use enhanced sword moves and aerial combos, with new moves and abilities being unlocked for each weapon the more you use the style (and there are 5 melee weapons in this game, ranging from the beginning broadsword to dual elemental scimitars to...a guitar/scythe? Anyway, it gives you an incredibly large amount of possible combos you can perform, since you can switch weapons in mid-combo and do even more damage).
Gunslinger: Another fan favorite. It lets Dante use enhanced gun abilities that vary, depending on each gun (using dual pistols allows you to shoot in two directions at once. Use a sniper rifle to bounce gunshots off the wall and hit the enemy, etc.)
Royal Guard: Supposedly the hardest style. It gives you the ability to block and release the energy of the enemy attacks back at the foe. It's the least popular style from what i've seen, but in the right hands this is by far the most powerful.
For those that have a PS2 and love action, this is a really great game to try out, but be warned that it is INCREDIBLY difficult as well.
Aaaaaanyway, i was wondering if there was anyone else that has played or completed this, or am i alone in TiB ;_;
