OOC: Well, I am going to start this thread to give a chance for everyone to join in and make a difference in the quality of this forum. As long as the quality rule/guideline is followed, I do not care how insane it gets. Now let us have some fun.
BIC:
Coaster trotted slowly along a lonely Michigan back road. The wolfish-grey Seppala Siberian had become lost in the western portion of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Pausing for a minute, Coaster looked at his surroundings. There was nothing but forest on either side of the dusty and rutted dirt road.
"Where do I go now?" he thought. "The shade of the forest tempts me to veer off the road. I am concerned, though, of creatures bigger than myself. On the other paw, traveling on the road could risk getting run over by a car. At least I stand a fighting chance in the forest. Okay, the forest it is."
Coaster trotted off the road and into the forest. He felt cooler under the shade of the trees. "This seems like a good place to rest," he thought as he dug up a little hole for himself to rest in. He laid down in the hole and went to sleep.\n\n

Shadow ran through the forest, alone. Her family was dead, her brothers, her sisters, her parents. All of them had died at the hands of hunters and their guns. Shadow growled slightly. Suddenly she picked something up on her nose. A smell of a husky. She altered her direction so she could see what the husky was doing on her terra. Only an hour later she found herself staring at the husky. It was asleep. Shadow shook her head. She would not wake it. Turning back to the shadows she sat down and watched for approaching creatures.

(OOC: Wee, last post before bed time. Sleep good. ^^)
Occasionally traveling alone was beneficial. There was a lesson to be learned about missing home when on the road. Silver chuckled softly at the thoughts as she traveled south. Thanks to the recent turmoil to the far north near the Canadian border, going on a solo road trip seemed like an excellent idea. Lone wolves with strange ideals, disenchanted dogs, large ligers, homicidal stags, bright blue mutagen and other strange assortments could wait. Yes, the whole lot could wait.
A sudden gust of wind, interrupted the light gray husky's thoughts. Thrusting her muzzle upwards, she inhaled deeply catching the scents on the wind. Silver froze, unsure if she should continue on her current path or take another route.
"Two possible canines ahead... Are they friendly or fierce?" She asked no one in particular.
Shaking her head, Silver decided to press forward. The strangers ahead couldn't be any worse than the cases back at home. Or so she hoped.

Mind over matter. In the winter, it helped keep the young lynx warm (that, and her fur), and in the summer, it helped keep her cool (that, and staying near water).
Snow was on her mind as she wandered through unfamiliar woods. That, and a dream. Something was pulling her east, away from her father and friends. She promised that she'd be safe, and had gone wandering.
She'd heard the words "two weeks" in her dream, and it had already been ten days. She didn't know what she was looking for, but she figured she'd know when she found it.
"The woods are lovely, dark and deep," the lynx said aloud, thinking of the snow in the poem she'd been quoting, and imagining it was falling around her. "But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep." She imagined a sound almost like the bells on a horse's harness, and pyrred.
"Are you sure you won't get lonely, Dad?"
CW shook his head. "I've got stuff to distract me. Don't worry about me. If anything, I'm the one who'll be worrying about you."
"Dad!" Sara laughed, shaking her head. "I'm never going to be anything else but 'Little Wing' to you, won't I?"
CW nuzzled the young lynx in reply.
Sara pyrred and nuzzled back. "My dream said 'two weeks'. I think, if there's something to it, that I'd at least be alive that long. I'll find some way to get help if I'm hurt. I promise."
Sara Tyger, the semi-adopted daughter of a tiger named CW, loved human poetry, especially poetry about nature and winter. For the duration of the tenth day of her journey, she'd been reciting 'Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening", among other poems, and longing for it to be winter again.
It didn't feel like a wild goose chase to her, not since she'd begun to have the same dream every night. Whatever she was looking for, she was certain she'd find it in another four days.
In the meantime, she found herself on the border of a wolf's territory, and considered going around, or flying above it, like all the others' territories she'd come across. But the river she'd been following ran through it, and she sighed.
"If they're friendly, they'll forgive me," she said in an attempt to convince herself, and entered.
OOC: For those who don't know, Sara Tyger is a winged lynx with grey fur and lavender feathers. Her eyes are also lavender and she sometimes wears a lavender ribbon at the base of her tail. She is currently about one and a half years old, both literally and in character. Ask me if you have any other questions.
Edit: traded a paragraph around, to make it flow better, and changed the flashback font colour from "darkgrey" to "#9999ff".\n\n

Suddenly Shadow looked up. She looked west. Some one was in her terra. Shadow looked back at the sleeping husky. He would do no harm the way he was now. So getting up she loped through the forest in search of the intruder. Deciding they would go near the river she altered her coarse. Indeed not much longer she saw a lynx with lavender wings. It was drinking at the river. Shadow didn't do anything for almost a minute, one of her slowest reactions ever. She was entranced by the wings. Finally she said, "Who are you?"
67-106196056222 Jul 2004, 15:52 UTC
Sara startled, lifted her head from the cool water, and turned. In the back of her mind, she added to a long list of questions she'd already asked herself on the trip. #97: Even if someone is used to meeting strangers in the woods, why does she always jump a mile when unexpectedly greeted by one?
She turned around, and bravely greeted the wolf. "I am Sara Tyger, and I humbly ask permission to cross your territory." All the while, she was thinking, I won't die today, my journey has four more days. Sara slowly lowered herself to the ground, and rolled over, like she'd seen other wolves do, in the hopes that it would help her create a good first impression with the she-wolf.\n\n
83-108518858922 Jul 2004, 16:13 UTC
Shadow smiled and swished her tail. "You don't have to worry about submitting", she said, motioning Sara up. "I'm Shadow, probably one of the only wolves you'll see for miles, or at least while you go across my territory", she added with a smile. Then she raised her muzzle and for no aparent reason to any but herself, she howled. When she was finished she looked back at Sara, a serious expression on her face. "Your welcome to cross my terra. If you need me just walk into shadows and call my name", she said. Then she walked away, melting into the shadows of the pines.
67-106196056222 Jul 2004, 17:37 UTC
Her eyes closed, and she pyrred while Shadow howled, then she opened them again. Well, Dad has always said that I make friends easily.
Sara smiled back, and watched Shadow disappear into her namesake. The lynx curiously sniffed at the shadows, then turned back towards the river. In the distance, she could see it bend southward. "I'll just have to hope I find another river soon, or maybe a lake," she said aloud to herself, and resumed her journey alongside the river.

Ayipuyi the reddish brown wolf mix was trotting her daily route. Her senses told her it was safe to change. She closed her eyes, and she changed into a wolf with wings.
"Whew,I'm tired!"she said curling up in a ball in the shadows. Her kind of wolf was nearly dead, but the remaining wolves were having a meeting on the highest mountain at the full moon tomorrow. She drifted off to sleep. But as she drifted off to sleep, she felt a presence, and woke up.
Turning into a normal wolf she asked,"Who's there?"
83-106196071622 Jul 2004, 20:11 UTC
Slowly Silver trotted forward, and then quickly ducked behind a low branch. She held her breath as a female wolf passed to the left of the tree. For a few moments she waited motionlessly until she was out of the wolf's range. The last thing she needed was to get into a fight with a wolf. Silver was certain that she could defend herself, but now was not the time to sustain injury. Hearing the wolf's howl in the distance, she shuddered once.
Carefully, she moved away from the low hanging branch and continued along her original route. With luck, she'd be able to pass through the land without being caught. Testing the air one more time, she froze.
"That smell... It's a little old, but it couldn't be..." She snuffed hard, and shook her head in disbelief. "Sara! What's she doing here?"
Forgetting about the caution she exercised earlier, Silver threw back her head and howled as loudly as she could. Sure she'd give herself away, but just maybe she'd find out why Sara was so far away from home.
83-108518858922 Jul 2004, 20:15 UTC
Shadow glanced up at the howl. She waited for a moment. There was another husky, a female, on her terra. She smiled. She loped off towards where the howl came from. Seeing the husky she said, "Who are you? And what are you doing on my terra?" Her voice was kind, but there was a bite of authority in her voice.
68-106196058522 Jul 2004, 21:38 UTC
The red fox had been enjoying usual day filled with sleep when suddenly a howl rattled through his head. As he opened his eyes, he found that he was covered in snow, probably having fallen or drifted on top of him overnight.
He popped his head up out of the snow, quickly blinking in the sudden burst of sunlight that seemed almost like too much as compared to the darkness of sleep.
"Why can't foxes live underground all the time..." he ponders, somewhat annoyed.
"Ahh, well..." he sighs softly, giving the matter a yawn. Taking in a deep breath, he caught the scent of what seemed to be... husky? Turning his head slowly to his left, he spotted a fimiliar silver husky, no more than a foot away from him.
"Eh... 'mornin', Silv?" he quirks a brow. "You're... here for my morning wake-up call...?" he smiles meekly, knowing that wasn't the reason, but yet at the same time, strange things were known to happen.
67-106196056523 Jul 2004, 03:01 UTC
Coaster was woken up by an unfamiliar howl. Yawning as he got up out of the hole, he noticed the scent of a wolf around him. Taking extra deep sniffs, he determined the scent belonged to a female wolf. Concerned that the wolf might still be around, Coaster quickly scanned his surroundings. Thankfully, he did not spot a wolf in his immediate vicinity. Turning in the direction of the wolf's scent, he started to track it.
As he followed the scent of the wolf, a second howl was heard. That howl seemed familiar to Coaster. He thought he had heard it somewhere before "Could it be Silver? he thought. It has been quite a long time since I last heard her howl.
Curious to find out if the howl was from Silver, he headed toward the source of the howl. After a short while later, Coaster spotted Silver. He was surprised that he found the wolf that he was tracking right in front of Silver.
"Hello Silver. I have not seen you in awhile," Coaster greeted. "Who is this?" he queried as he motioned towards the wolf.
83-108518858923 Jul 2004, 03:06 UTC
"Name's Shadow. I'm the owner of the this terra", she said. She swished her tail. "Don't worry, I wont hurt you. I'm only a lone wolf, I can't do anything to you guys", she added. Shadow glanced up at the sky. A small drop of rain hit her nose. It was followed by another, then another, until it had started a heavy rain. She glanced around at the others. "You can stay in my den if you need a dry place to sleep", she said. Turning northwest she led them to her den. Before she went inside she howled to Sara, iviting her.
67-106196056223 Jul 2004, 10:31 UTC
"Alright," Sara said to herself as she faced a choice. Which way should I go? South, to follow the river, or continue east, to follow my dream?
A distant howl shattered her thoughts, amd she was surprised to find that she knew the howl. "Silver? Is this where you went?" She smiled. And for all I know, Dad and Rusty are probably around here as well.
Curious, but hesitant, the lynx wandered away from the river, towards Silver's howl, and hoped she'd find another source of water soon.
A source of water eventually made itself known to Sara, at about the same time that she heard the second howl. "Shadow!" she exclaimed happily, despite being quite a ways away from the howl, and knowing the she-wolf couldn't hear her. Although she couldn't speak or understand wolf (despite trying, once), she guessed it was an invitation, and started running in its general direction, eager to get out of the rain.
83-106196071623 Jul 2004, 19:32 UTC
Silver lowered her head with a start. While she knew she'd attract some attention, she never expected this much activity. Her tail began to wag as she recognized familier faces in a distant land. Before she could reply to Dunder and Coaster, she turned to the Shadow. Not wanting to be rude in a strange land, she decided to greet the wolf first.
"Hello. My name is Silver, and I'm just passing through your territory." She said with a nod. "Thanks a lot for the warm welcome, I'd be honored to stay at your den."
With a small swish of her tail, she then addressed both the fox and the husky. "Hey there. It's been a while, since I've seen you both. I left on a small adventure and ran into you two. Who would have known? By the way, brings you both so far away from home?" As soon as the question was uttered, she looked to the trees, hoping to see Sara soon.
68-106196058523 Jul 2004, 20:37 UTC
"Far from home?" the fox repeated, seemingly surprised by the question. "Silv, I would've thought by now you'd know that I don't really have a home. I'm more of the local hobo...." he chuckles, rising off the ground and shaking himself off quickly.
Feeling droples of rain hit his fur, he glanced over to Coaster, then Silver. "I suppose I could join you all, if it wouldn't be much of a hassle...? Seeing as how I've nothing else to do these days... Heh."

Summer had gone out for a particularly long walk just to get away from everyone. She wasn't angry, or upset by no means. She just needed a little time to herself like everyone does.
'It's so peaceful out here,' she thought as the morning sun warmed her fur.
The scent of pine trees was filling her nostrils with every breath she took. A rabbit ran in front of her, and it looked at her absolutely terrified with big black eyes. She was in a good mood today, and her stomach wasn't in need of nutrition, so she let it scamper away into a thicket.
Out of nowhere a raindrop came, and another followed. Soon it was pouring down rain. Summer ran for the nearest cluster of bushes. There, under the protection of leaves and branches, she curled up and closed her eyes.
Rain was falling all around the little thicket that sheltered her, and only a rare drop touched her fur. It was the sound of rain falling to the earth that made her eyelids heavy, and the scent of wet dirt that soothed her. Soon she fell fast asleep, contented and dry underneath those bushes.

Dark Wolf was taking a long walk until an hunter spotted him. The hunter started to say '' Hey Bill, I found a wolf, '' then the other hunter replied '' Let's kill it ''. The two Hunters starting shooting Dark Wolf. Dark Wolf thought Theres no way I can fight them in this ran so I must runaway. Dark Wolf ran as fast as he could, but the hunters started chasing him. Where was Dark Wolf to go, Dark Wolf had to go in an area that is Dark so he can blend nut where. As Dark Wolf looked around he saw an old dark cave and thought maybe I can hide in there. So Dark Wolf went in the cave. The two hunters tried to look for him but they couldn't find him so they left. Then Dark Wolf slept in the cave without a meal.

Mistletoe, a gun dog heard a wolf up in the distance he tilted his head when a shady figure ahead of him. Mistletoe barked to the figure.....They were wolves. Mistletoe....a purebred Brittany spaniel never had seen a real life wolf, he was worried he was on other territory. sadly Mistletoe was alone. He had no one to protect him if the wolf wasn't friendly.
Mistletoe waslked up to the wolf by the name of Shadow and Introduced himself.\n\n

A white wolf, not too far away from where everyone else was gathered, peered upward to the clouded skies. In the past hour or so the scent of new creatures had been popping up all over the place. A fox there, a few huskies here, another batch of wolves somewhere near. It was all rather confusioning and she, she as in the white wolf - Crystal Wolf, had thought some sort of meeting of the creatures was being held.
For quite awhile now she had considered joining in on this little meeting, but than she relized (sp?) she wasn't looking the part of someone going to a meeting of any sort. Her white coat was smeared with dirt and the redness of blood. Even the crystal ( the diamond shaped one that hung on a black piece of string around her neck ) had a thin layer of dried dirt and blood around it.
She shook her head sadly, what was wrong with her? She didn't know there was a meeting, infact, she greatly suspected that she was padding along the forest trails of another wolves land.
But than again, she didn't quite mind, she countinued to stroll through the forest, a smirk on her face. She wouldn't mind a new adventure and if the owner of this land wanted a fight... well... she would look forward to a good fight. How long has it been? What, maybe... 8 hours or so since her last fight? What a horribly long time!

Ayipuyi ran from her hiding place, and felt a drop of rain. She didn't know where to go,and ran into a cave, and ran into a sleeping wolf.
"OOf!Uh..."she began getting up.Her power couldn't hold much more, and her wings appaered. She gasped and backed away.
"I'm sorry.Please don't hurt me."she begged.
68-108173602525 Jul 2004, 18:24 UTC
Dark Wolf woke up and look at the wolf with wings and tought I never seen a wolf with wings, what an unquie animal.Dark Wolf went up on his four legs and said '' I won't hurt you, but how come you got wings ''. Dark Wolf looked at her wings and said '' This isn't my cave if thats what your thinking, I found this cave when some hunters were chasing me, it is still a little early, come stay here until the rain settles down.''

"I erh....I'm one of the last of the lengendary Winged Wolves.I was caught in the middle of the storm, and well..something scared me,and I ran in here.I'm sorry if I bothered you."Ayipuyi said lying down.
"I need to find the rest of my knid.Hunters have eliminated most of them though."Ayipuyi said.

Summer yawned and groggily opened her eyes. She caught the scent of a few dogs, other wolves and a fox.
"Boy this place sure is popular," she said.
She pulled herself up, with an effort more of will than bodily effort. It was warm, dry and comfortable here. Out there was wet, cold and possibly dangerous. Still, curiousity forced her out of the thicket and into the rain.
Summer was fully awakened as cold rain water ran down her back and her muzzle. She sniffed the air and could vaguely smell strange canines. She followed the weak trail, and soon came upon a gathering of the creatures she'd smelled before. Only one in the group she recognized.
"Hi Shadow," she greeted her. "Was that you doing all the howling?"
83-108518858926 Jul 2004, 18:24 UTC
Shadow looked up at the sound of Summer's voice. "Oh wow, Summer, I didn't reconize you!" she exclaimed. "Well, I was just inviting these creatures to stay the night at my den", she explained. She looked at the dog. "Hello, I'm Shadow", she explained. She glanced around. "Well, I'm going to go hunting. Your welcome to join me if you feel like it, if not you can just head back to my den, just follow my trail there and I'll howl from the kill", she said. Then she loped off towards the hunting grounds.
77-108950366427 Jul 2004, 14:17 UTC
Mistletoe backed away slowly, afraid the wolf would take him somewhere where he could never get back to his home. But he decided to be brave and went with the friendly Wolf, Shadow. "Where are we going to?" Mistletoe asked.
83-108518858927 Jul 2004, 19:21 UTC
"There's a hunting ground near by. Caribou, deer, elk, you name it", Shadow explained eyeing the large herd. She picked out a young mother. The slight droop of her head said that she was ill. "Alright, scare it towards me", she instructed.
77-108950366427 Jul 2004, 22:10 UTC
Mistletoe was a good hunting dog so he did as he was told. The large animal came tword Shadow. Mistletoe Barked to keep control of it. Mistletoe's stomach growled. "Hey, good team, us together...we are an awesome huntin' team!" the spunky Dog said.
68-108173602528 Jul 2004, 01:50 UTC
Dark Wolf woke up and slowly left leaving Ayipuyi sleeping by herslef. As Dark Wolf took a short walk around he saw two hunting dogs. He tought Are they friendly or not, but still I should hide here. Dark Wolf stood there and waited for the hunting dogs to make a move. When they do Dark Wolf will attack or greet them.
77-108950366428 Jul 2004, 03:17 UTC
Mistletoe Shifted his head tword another wolf standing a distance. " HI!" Mistletoe said to DarkWolf. Mistletoe waved and then caught up with Shadow.
83-108700781328 Jul 2004, 04:36 UTC
Summer felt her stomach rumbling and knew she had to silence it.
hmmm, she thought. A rabbit would be good. An effort to catch, but good.
She left the group in search of a snack. There would be a problem if she couldn't find a rabbit, but surely there was some little creature that would slip up like the rabbit had earlier and run out in front of her.
Yeah, like that's gonna happen, she added mentally.
68-108173602528 Jul 2004, 05:31 UTC
Dark Wolf looked around trying to get food. He saw a rabbit being stupid and looking around. Dark Wolf looked and tought A rabbit will do, I might even save some for later. Dark Wolf started to chase the rabbit. While chasing Dark Wolf went right past Summer. Then he finally chaught up with the rabbit and killed it with his powerful jaw.
83-108518858928 Jul 2004, 19:02 UTC
Shadow lunged at the caribou. She caught it in the throat and bit down on it. She waited until all the life had drained out of it. Then she howled, announcing the kill to all who wanted to feast on it. Taking out the heart and a bit of the hind leg she took her meal to a ridge and began to eat.
83-108700781329 Jul 2004, 04:06 UTC
Summer stopped when heard Shadow's howl, but didn't respond. She didn't feel right about feeding off another's kill. Besides rabbit sounded so wonderful right about now, just the thought of it made her mouth water.
She was about to make a step forward when another wolf blasted right past her.
"WHOA!" she cried out in alarm and retreated back a step or two.
Summer looked off in the other wolf's direction. She shook her head and continued on the hunt for rabbit.
She found one by accidently stumbling on it feeding. It had a fatal delayed reaction and Summer had lunch. She ate it right then and there for the hunger in her stomach had grown.
68-108173602530 Jul 2004, 02:00 UTC
After the rabbit Dark Wolf took a long walk. While walking he came upon a human camp site, he sighed because long ago he used to be an human before turning into this animal. He knows the reasin why the hunters hunt them. He then started to think of his past and ow he became a wolf. As Dr. Wolfheart ( known as Dark Wolf) continued his research with wolves he started to do some experaments. One day an accident happen he was knocked out by the explosion of the expreiment. When he woke up he realized he became a wolf. One of the professers thaught he was dead and called the police. Dark Wolf can still remeber that day. While going to go by the river he became a newspaper flying in the wind. The paper said Dr. James R. Wolfheart killed in lab. Dark Wolf just walk and walk in the shadows until no one could see him.

Sara took shelter under a tree, waiting out the worst of the storm. "It's never this bad at home," the lynx said aloud. "Or maybe I just don't notice."
As she stayed under her shelter, she began to wash her fur. It was something she'd forgotten to do for a few days, and her fur was showing it. Lazy, she criticized herself. What would Dad think of you?
When the rain looked like it was easing up somewhat, Sara ventured out from under her shelter, and resumed following the familiar howls she heard earlier.
It wasn't too long before she found a cave, and pyrred. It was the perfect shelter, dry and warm. She hoped it was either vacant, or occupied by the she-wolf she met earlier. With only a moment's hesitation, the lynx stepped inside.
65-107836033831 Jul 2004, 01:00 UTC
Ayipuyi got up.the strange wolf was gone, but a winged Lynx had entered the cave.
"Back you, beast!I know what you are!"she growled. Her kind was always at war with winged cats.
She ruffled her feathers,and growled.
83-108700781302 Aug 2004, 03:21 UTC
Summer felt better after her meal so she decided to go back to the group and meet some of those canines that were with Shadow.
She went to the stream to wash her face in the water and drink some as well. Afterwards she headed back to the group. She hoped they'd all still be there when she arrived. If not she'd just have to find something else to do and at the current moment, nothing was coming to mind.
83-108518858904 Aug 2004, 18:34 UTC
Shadow stretched herself out and yawned. She was bored. People passed through her territory so often, she was starting to grow bored of it. She howled though, asking for a report on what was happening. With a swish of her tail she thought, after all, I am the alpha.
67-106196056204 Aug 2004, 19:31 UTC
Sara stared in mute shock, and in slight fear, but the voice in the back of her mind reminded her of the promise. I'm not going to die today... the dream has yet to come true. Feeling braver, but still a little nervous, the lynx planted her paws firmly and swallowed.
"Please," she began, "I'm just looking for some shelter. I'm not looking for any trouble, and I'm willing to leave as soon as the storm is over. I... I was not aware anyone had a reason to hate me."\n\n
65-107836033805 Aug 2004, 02:32 UTC
"You relize our kinds don't get along.We have wars,but..I don't see any reason we're different,cat."Ayipuyi replied.She sat down,and yawned.

Not long after the meeting with Shadow, Dunder and Coaster, Silver retired to the cave. She wasn't sure where the others had gone, but she knew that she'd probably see them again. Without as much as a noise, she curled up at the far end of a the wall and slept. Joining the hunt would have probably been the right thing to do, but Silver was much too tired to effectively help.
After a few moments of fitful rest, her sleep was disturbed. Not too worried about the growl, she lazily opened one eye. She then got up with a start. Sara??? Shrugging off her tiredness, she quickly loped over to winged lynx, edging past Ayipuyi.
"I've finally found you, and I didn't even have to try!" grinned Silver as her tail swished about.
65-107836033806 Aug 2004, 14:46 UTC
"Ack!Who are you?!?"Ayipuyi questioned.Her feathers were ruffled,and she stood up,growling.
83-106196074806 Aug 2004, 16:16 UTC
When your a tiger, your terra is always growing and therefore needs to be checked. Suma had been walking for hours, and yes realised that she had overstepped her boundary.
"Well, Im bigger than most things that live here, and the last hunter I came across was rather tasty!" she chuckled to herself.
She paused for a while, deep in the forest near the river. She washed her now damp and muddy white fur.
Being a tiger she enjoyed swimming and so lazily paddled in the river, unaware or not bothered about what was going on elsewhere.

"Who am I?" Silver asked as she cocked her head, regarding Ayipuyi. "I am 'Silver', just a husky passing through this forest. Shadow allowed me to stay in her den for the night. I'm not here to cause trouble."
Sitting down on her hunches, the husky sighed once. Hopefully it wouldn't be one of those long, complicated days. At the same time, she wasn't surprised. Every journey had a few bumps in the road.

Sara watched the exchange between Ayipuyi and Silver, then pyrred at the husky. "I didn't think I'd run into anyone I knew out here. What brings you out here?" The lynx was happy to see a familiar face out in the middle of unfamiliar territory, and felt a little better about her journey.

Shadow scented another tresspasser on her terra. She growled but then smiled. It was sure to happen, unless she had a mate. So loping off she came upon Suma. She made a slight growl, announcing her. "Who are you and what are you doing on my terra?" she asked.

Silver gently pressed her nose to Sara's fur. She then wagged her tail in reply to the lynx's gentle purring. Perhaps, her traveling wouldn't be so lonely after all. "I've no where of importance to go. I just needed to venture away from the forest for a while. Things have been quite strange as of lately. However, I could put that same question to you. What are you doing out here?"
Silver winked once at Sara, then stretched slowly. She wasn't sure if she wanted to rest longer or leave the den. With travels, one never knew quite how long to stay or when to go. After a few moments curiosity got the better of the husky.
"So... Is CW still back in the forest at home?"

Sensing the wolf Suma bared her teeth slightly but her posture changed from defensive to passive.
"I am sorry if I crossed onto your terra, i came across some humans earlier and had to keep goin straight, I knew I was far from home but had to keep goin."
She stood in the river, smiling.

Summer silently peered through some bushes at Shadow's den. She'd seen the husky earlier, but a winged lynx was new to her. She shrank back instantly and turned herself around in .5 seconds. It didn't take her long to flee the scene. She ran like a freaked out wolf would...as fast as possible.
She finally came back to her senses and stopped out of breath by a river. She drank a little water to cool herself off. She happened to look upstream and saw a strange creature that looked somewhat like a lynx. It was bigger and had stripes. Shadow was there, so Summer assumed it was okay for her to approach.
"Hey," she said softly. "Who's your friend?"
She gave a friendly smile to Suma, though she still wondered what exactly she was looking at. She'd seen mountain lions, lynxs, and bobcats. This creature looked somewhat like them, but a lot larger.

Shadow nodded her head. "This is Suma. That's alright. A lot of people have come into my terra lately. I have half a mind to move on and leave this terra to any body who wants it. I've lived the life of a lone wolf to long", she said sitting down, her tail curling around her paws.

"Hi," suma said looking at summer who looked slightly bemused.
Has she never seen a tiger before? I do live deep in the forest and rarely come out this far, mmmmm she thought.
"I...mm im a tiger if that answers your confusion, a cousin of the lynx but bigger and with stripes, simply put."
Suma felt sorry for Shadow, she knew how hard it is to keep a terra in check when your on your own.
"Aww, dont worry Shadow Im sure there must be some wolves who'd love to be in your pack, I would,..if I was a wolf that is."
She smiled reassuringly at Shadow.

Ayipuyi was a little scared of the animals.
"Um..Can anyone tell me where the Rock of Moonlight is?"Ayipuyi asked.
83-108518858916 Aug 2004, 02:37 UTC
Shadow smiled at Suma. "Thank you", she said nodding her head. Looking at Aypuyi she said, "No can't say that I have, but a friend of mine that lives near here might know."

Sara rubbed up against Silver like an affectionate kitten, pyrring softly. "I've been following a dream, Silver, and heading east. I'll tell you about it sometime."
The lynx then sat, and yawned. "Dad's still back home. I felt a little guilty leaving him alone, but he told me he still has Rusty and Pardo for company. He's probably eagerly awaiting both of our returns." Sara smiled. "Won't he be surprised if we both return together!"\n\n

Silver flicked her ears at Ayipuyi, then shook her head. "No, I've never heard of that place. It sounds like something you can only find at night though." She winked, then added, "If you want, perhaps I could go along with you, if Sara doesn't mind."
Giving Sara a friendly nuzzle, Silver nods. "Ah, I see. I'm not really going anywhere in particular, so I could also accompany you if you want. It probably would make the tiger happy to see us both return."

Shadow walked into her den. Silver, Ayipuyi, and the lynx she had seen earlier were there. She nodded her head at each and went into the back corner and collasped. So many new creatures roamed her land she was just content in letting them by, not like she had anything to protect.
65-107836033824 Aug 2004, 23:13 UTC
"Great!Which way is it?I'm kinda needing to know...Family matters."she explained.

Bronze ran through the woods, his bronze streak of fur shining in the sun. He ran up into Shadow's den, his friend and mentor. He smiled and nodded at all the creatures present and looked at Shadow. "Running a homeless shelter, Shads?" he asked her jokingly. Shadow laughed at her friend. "Ayipuyi this is Bronze, he'll tell you where you need to go", she said. Bronze smiled at Ayipuyi. "I wonder far and wide, there isn't anywhere I don't know about", he said.
65-107836033830 Aug 2004, 20:32 UTC
"Cool....Where's the Rock of Moonlight?"she asked.
83-108518858931 Aug 2004, 23:50 UTC
Bronze thought about it for a while. "It's off towards the east. In the Glacier Mountains", he added. Then with a nodd of his head he made to leave.
