A Lonely Wolf:

Verse one:
A lonely wolf stands at the top of the snow capped mountains,
Staring down at the world below.
She sits down and howls at the moon,
wanting her love to come back soon.
She stares at the stars above and wants someone to love.
She is all alone and has no body to talk to, she wonders why,
Why does everyone neglect her?
Is it because she is old or is it because she is a spirit?
Whatever it is, she will never know!

Chorus:
A lonely wolf, staring up at the sky above,
A lonely wolf, wanting someone to love
She wonders about life, and how its treated her
A lonely wolf, who cries, cries all alone
She wonders where her love could be, leaving her to be all alone,
Now that hes gone.

Verse two:
She howls at the moon, and stares up at the stars
She asked her, was he just telling her lies
And she cries and howls up at the skies
She cries and wonders why
Why did she ever love him, should she have known they were all lies?
Staring down at the world below as she floats in mid air
Her son looks up at her but does nothing but stares
She wants him to climb, climb the stairs
Is she lonely, is she broken, is she lost, or is she just a spirit?
Whatever she is, she will never know,
Now that hes gone!

Chorus

Verse Three:
She communicates with the trees and the grass
She thought her relationship was gonna last
But how was she supposed to know that they were all lies,
That she was living a lie.
How was she supposed to know that he was going to break her heart?
How was she supposed to know that he was gonna run off and never return?
How was she supposed to know, right from the start?
How is she going to survive, now that hes gone!

That was a very, very good poem and the rhyme and rythm of it captured me. The only thing I don't get is the fact that it comes across as a wolf 'cheating on' another wolf. I just don't seem to get that. Not only are wolves loyal to each other, but that really just seems like a more human thing to do, someting a wolf probably couldn't comprehend. I still like it though, so don't get me wrong.
Ohh,very good. I like this version much better than the last.  :D
Yes, I agree it's improved. It's always nice to see an already good work get tweaked into what it should be. And what I meant up there ^ was really that I just couldn't understand how a wolf would understand cheating. But then again, people give animals humanistic characteristics all the time (I do it nearly every time I write), but usually not if they're writing about realistic animals (as oppsed to fantasy) so I really just thought that was what you were doing. Sorry, my bad. ;)
thanks to everyone for their support and possitive feedback!
nice!!
