SKULL OF SATAN
chapter 1
I went to a swap meet to buy something for my house. I wasnt looking for anything in particular but there was this weird looking object on a table that caught my eye. Picking it up, I looked at the object and put it down, not really interested in buying it; considering it was out of my range. I only brought fifty dollars, and it cost seventy-five. I tried to look at something else, but my eyes kept going back to this object.
"I see ye interestd in buying dis object?" The person running the booth asked me, smiling. Looking up, I could see hes missing a few teeth.
"Yes, I am interested in it." I told the stranger smiling. "But I see its seventy-five dollars, which is a bit out of my range."
Rubbing his chin, the man asked. "What dus ye have in ye pocket?"
"I only have fifty dollars with me-"
"Ye can have it for fifty buckaroos." The guy said, holding out his hand.
"Ye-yes." I replied nervously, handing over the twenty-five fives and picked up the object.
"That thin there will keep away evil." The man cried as I walked away.
Not paying attention to what he said, I brought the object to my home. After doing some rearranging, I was able to find a good spot for it on the fire mantel. Once I put it in a position I liked best, I took a few steps back and admired at what I did.
"Where did you get that thing?" My daughter, Linda, asked, coming downstairs.
"I just got it at a swap meet, only cost me fifty dollars." I told my daughter and looked at her. "What do you think?"
"I just hope that thing doesnt scare our guests away." She said, taking a closer look. "Did you get a good look at this thing? It looks kind of like the skull of Satan."
Getting a good look at the skull, she was correct.
"I didnt notice that." I replied a little surprised. Getting a closer look, I see an upside down star inside a circle. "What the ####?" I mumble under my breath.
"What did the guy say when you bought it?"
"He said this thing will keep away evil but Im beginning to wonder if its true or not, considering it looks evil."
"Well, whatever it does, or is, I just hope that thing doesnt cause any problems around here."
Nodding my head, I agreed.
"Well Im off old man, going to my friends to do some studying." Linda cried, getting a hold of her jacket.
Chapter 2
For a week, I didnt have any problems, though I got a few looks from family and friends that saw it when they came over for an early Easter dinner. The morning of Easter Sunday, I woke up to some weird noises. It was kind of a scratchy-knocking sound, something that a dog or a cat will do if they want something, but it was coming from inside my room.
"What the?" I mumbled, sitting up.
Looking around my room, the noise stops. The last thing I remember feeling was a chill going down my back. Getting a little freaked out, I jumped out of bed, got dressed, head downstairs and I couldve sworn I saw a pair of red eyes; which looked like they were coming from that skull. Getting a closer look at the skull, I see nothing.
"Thinking of getting rid of it?" Linda asked me, making me jump.
"Im not sure." I said, looking at my daughter. "Did you hear any scratchy-knocking noises this morning?"
"No I didnt. Why?"
"I did. And as I came down here, I couldve sworn this things eyes were glowing a bright red."
"I didnt see or hear anything dad but if I were you, Id get rid of that thing. That #### skull sends chills up and down my back every time I look at it." My daughter said.
"Im not getting rid of it, it cost me fifty dollars."
"Okay but mind putting it somewhere else?"
Picking it up, I bring it to my room. Ill figure out where Im going to put this later. I just hope this thing does keep away evil spirits and doesnt cause any problems to me and my daughter. Deep down, something told me to bring it back to that guy and demand my fifty dollars back but something also told me hes probably gone.
"Dad!" I heard my daughter yell.
Running to the bathroom, I looked at the mirror and seen an upside down star in a circle, dripping with something that looked like blood. Reaching up to touch it, I could feel an icy cold at the tip of my finger; causing a big chill to go down my back.
Chapter 3
Later that month, we moved to a different house, figuring something was going on that we couldnt stop no matter how hard we tried; not realizing it was the skull that looked like Satan. My daughter forbidden me to put out in the open and I was damned in putting it in my room, so I just left it in a box tell I knew where to put it.
"I do like my new room more then my old one." Linda told me our first night there. "More room for my pictures, posters and statues."
My daughter enjoys collecting pictures and statues of animals and was running out of wall space in her old room. The animals she enjoyed collecting were wolves and foxes.
It took us a week to get everything unpacked and organized to where we liked them; excluding our bedrooms. With my teenaged daughter having a lot things to unpack, it took her close to two weeks to get everything unpacked and organized.
"Finally, I got everything unpacked." My daughter said, getting her figurines positioned. "Now I just hope they dont end up falling on top of each other."
Turning around to destroy a box, she hears a ruffling sound. Freezing, she hears a small growl. Turning around, she sees one of her wolf statues, alive. Gasping in fear, she tightens her grip on the piece of cardboard and keeps a weary eye on the figure. It lunged. Screaming, she swings the piece of cardboard and hits the wolf.
"Whats going on?" I yelled, running into her room.
"That statue came to life. It was snarling, growling and it lunged at me." She cried, pointing to the broken statue.
I didnt know what to think. If it did come to life, it was probably cause of that statue I still got, the skull of Satan. Cleaning up the small mess, the wolf statue was thrown away. Feeling something sticky on my hands, I look down and see theyre covered in blood.
"Is that blood?" My daughter asked, her voice still trembling with fear.
"I think so, but the only place it couldve came from is that wolf statue?" I said looking into her waste basket, only to see shattered pieces mixed with blood.
Leaving my daughters room, I headed towards the hall closet to pull out the skull. As soon as I spotted the box, and as I pulled it out, the eyes were glowing red. I could feel my hands shake with fear as a chill went down my spine.
"Dad, if you dont get rid of that #### thing, I will." My daughter cried.
Setting the skull on the ground and getting a hold of my daughter, I told her. "How do we know if this thing is whats causing all of this?"
"Ever since you brought that thing home, odd things been happening to us. Unless we moved into another haunted house, which I doubt the one we were in was haunted."
Nodding my head, I agreed with my daughter. Picking up the skull, I studied it. Not sure what I should do with it, or how I should get rid of it. I wasnt even sure if getting rid of it would save us from this insanity.
"When will you get rid of that thing? Tell one of us dies?"
Looking at my daughter, I told her. "Ill get rid of it this week."
I heard a big sigh of relief from my daughter.
Chapter 4
I got rid of the skull later in the week but that didnt save me from any grief. My daughter was hanging out with her friends and while they were crossing a street, a drunk driver ran into them; my daughter being the only one that was seriously hurt. The man being convicted of homicide, which will not bring my daughter back. Linda did survive the accident but died six hours, six minutes and six seconds afterwards. The one thing that struck me the most was the time sounded like the number of the beast, 666.
A week after my daughter died, Im visiting her grave, next to her mothers, who died the same way. Another thing that struck me was Linda died on the same day as my wife.
"I miss you both very much." I said, holding back my tears and placing flowers on their graves. "I got rid of that statue like you wanted me and look what happened, you were taken away from me. I will never forgive myself for buying that #### thing into our home. I dont have a lot to say but Ill be meeting the both of you in Heaven one of these days."
Standing up, I left their grave sight. Heading towards the exit, I turned around and saw a blood red upside-down star in a circle over my daughters grave. When I saw that, I begin to wonder if getting rid of the sight of evil is going to keep away evil?
Now then, onto the story.
