I think that Morse, Dixie, Sylvia, Nikki, Kaltag and Star should had been included in Wolf Quest.

The trio should hve been in it. They added so much life to the original.

Steele and the trio, of course. Same can be said with Rosie, and more human characters.

you damn right they should of!83-106196071603 Nov 2003, 04:53 UTC
It would have been nice to see more original characters. But part of me shudders to think how different they might have turned out, like Balto, Jenna and Boris. >_< However, I could easily imagine Jim Cummings coming back to do Steele's voice. What doesn't he do? ;)

It would have been more intresting with all the origanal characters. But I agree with silver on how they would have turned out.

I don't think that the original characters would've fit well in Balto 2. Maybe a cameo appearance, but anything more than that would be forced.
Steele was part of the plot of the first movie. In order to keep him in the second one, he'd need a new plot all his own, thus making Balto 2 into an animated soap opera with too many things happening at once.
The Trio, on the other hand, wasn't a big enough part of the first movie to justify a good role in the second. They were friendly with Balto, but I wouldn't say they were his friends, so to speak; they probably wouldn't be hanging around him all the time. They'd just be dogs in town, like all the others.
"All the others" was something lacking from Balto 2. There weren't enough characters PERIOD. The wolves at the end barely count as characters, they're so shallow.

Well of course they're shallow. Only two of them had real personalities, and the new "trio" just didn't cut it. They were no more than badly done humor.

but you know how the time goes by, too many ppl focus wiht new techology not the old technology, we would like hand draw amintion not a digitail

I agree with you. I have always like hand drawn animation. I think it is better. But digital is also good.

"Balto III: Wings of Change" will be hand-drawn, but digitally colored, just like "Balto" and "Wolf Quest".

Sounds good to me Aniu1983 . I am looking forward to seeing it. Thanks for telling me.

New technology doesn't make good or bad animation. They're just tools of the trade, it depends on how the artist chooses to use them. ;)

That is very true Silver. Digital animation could be as nice as 100% hand-drawn animation. The animators just get sloppy (partially because of low budgets) and they (the charaters, not the animators) end up looking like crap.
