Sometime after Balto 3 comes out, do you think Universal will make a trilogy or something, ya'know with stuff like deleted scenes. Or....... Maybe they'll just pull a Land Before Time and start on #4.......and 5.
Actually, I'm pretty serious about the first part. I think that would be very cool. And if the second part happens I will discard all memories of Balto. 106-106196082218 Sep 2003, 22:14 UTC
I wish they'd make a prequel about Balto when he was young and why he is an Alaskan outcast. Who were his parents? How did he meet Boris? Muk and Luk? I hope they don't make any more Baltos after Balto three! I would kill them if they did the LBT thing!

A Triology box would be really nice!. with lots of extra stuff and.. things ^_^
Ill help you kill m if they start make more in the LBT way..

A prequel would be the most depressing movie ever. It would start with Balto having a family and all that nice stuff; it would end with him being an outcast on the edge of town whom nobody likes. His mother is dead, his father is AWOL, etc. Maybe it's just me, but I'd prefer all that to be left to the imagination. I don't need to see how bad his life was before the first movie.
If Balto 3 is any good, then I wouldn't mind a trilogy set. It might be worth buying for 2 out of 3. If Balto 3 is bad, though, then forget it; I'll just buy the first movie and convince myself that the other two are horrible, horrible mistakes that never happened.

It might not be depressing at all AG, he might have hated his parents for making him be half wolf half husky. Ya never know.
LOL Asgeir!

I don't care if it is a sequel or prequel. As long as the original characters are used and they have the same look and personality.
I don't think a prequel would be as depressing as you say AG. If you remember, in Balto when Steele leaves after ridiculing Balto, the trio stabs Steele in the back by calling him revolting and "That son of a....". Anyway, it seems that Nikki, Kaltag, and Star like Balto and just treat him badly because of Steele.
My point is that in a prequel he could end up meeting the Trio and they would accept him. Just a thought.

I have always thought a prequel to be a really sad thing. It would portray Balto's horrible life after being born.
If the 3rd movie is terrible,I'm certain the trilogy would be as well.
Asgeir>Mind if I join in the killing spree if they DO?
Echo>? He cannot be accepted in the prequel.Otherwise he wouldn't be an outcast in Balto. 65-106196052921 Sep 2003, 10:15 UTC
Balto is certainly not the sort of guy who would hate his parents for anything. And even so, you think that hating his parents wouldn't be depressing...?
If he got to Nome before Steele was there and became friends with the trio, then the movie would end with Steele arriving and all of his friends turning against him. If he arrived in Nome after Steele was already there, he'd be an outcast from the start. Take your pick: depressing #1 or depressing #2.

A trilogy box with a lot of extras would be great!

A box set would be very nice. Yet, considering what we got from universal last year, I don't see it happening.
69-106279399522 Sep 2003, 20:48 UTC
Well Kay, maybe they could accept him at first and then Steele would come along and ruin everything. Then it wouldn't be quite as depressing. I don't know. It's just an idea.
You know what? I am asking for a lot. I just hope it is as good as the first. Sometimes I think way too hard.

I know Ag, but he could be like Alue and forgive them, and it might not be so sad then. I personally don't thnk Balto had that bad of a past. I think his father would still be alive somwhere. That would be so neat if he could meet him in Balto 3!

Ag: that is an excellent point bud.. I seem to understand exactly what your saying and its quite agreeable bro.. and noone wants a depressing ending to such an awesome series, Right guys? So I would have to stick with ag on this one.

I'd actually like the idea of balto having alot of movies so i'm just dying to see the thrid one and i too hope the trio from the first movie will be in it but i won't get my hopes up no offense to anyone else and i don't like the idea of there beign a prequel to the movie it would be upsetting and no happy ending either i don't like that (if anyone is wondering i'm new here)

Damn Straight on that bro! I would have to agree with that and are also expecting the same thing, oh almost forgot, welcome to TIB! see ya round!67-106196056215 Oct 2003, 13:59 UTC
The only way I like seeing depressing endings is if the ending is done so that some hope can be seen shining through the clouds or something.
Hello, Balto(aladdin), welcome to the boards. Hmm... various nicknames I can derive from your name...
Balt(alad)... Bal(al)... Ba(al)... no, that doesn't sound like a very favourable name... how about Baladdin? ^^

welcome to TIB Al! I still would like to have a prequal. I really don't mind depressing endings.

Sorry for all the stuff between Rusted and Wolf, was trying to get a cross (†) in there.
Anyway, from what I read in an interveiw, the writers they got for Balto 3 sound promising. As for them doing a LBT thing with Balto.. As long as they have good story lines and decent voice acters, I'm happy. 83-106196071622 Oct 2003, 19:10 UTC
The only thing a prequel would have going for it, is the original movie. Even though it would most likely be a sad affair, we would also know that Balto would go on to be more or less accepted by Nome in the original.
Considering the way some of the second movie was handled, the idea of a whole series of movies makes my stomach churn. I could only see them going downhill, unless the third movie was really well done.

No problem, Rusty. Eventually, message boards will allow all possible characters in one's name. For now, though... should we call you "8224"? ^^82-106677497222 Oct 2003, 22:15 UTC
Go for it.
76-106254582323 Oct 2003, 22:50 UTC
That's a cool thought CW, because I had a few characters I wanted to put my name also, but it wouldn't let me do them ether..oh well, no use for a another name, because primarly I don't like SPAM at all, no matter what type it is.

I agree with jewelswulfe about the prequel idea! Wonderful! I have always wondered what happened to Balto before he met Boris, Muk, and Luk. (And of course sweet Jenna.)
And LOL to that, Echo-husky...LBT has just gotten completely out of hand. And now with "The Great Longneck Migration". Tut tut, when does it end?

I agree a prequel wouldn't have to have a sad ending,In It Balto would meet Jenna They must have met Eachother as pups, Because They knew eachother in the Movie
