I know that most of you think that this movie is probly gonna be a secquel, but what do you hope for? I'm hoping for a secquel about Alue's son not Balto's.

Actually I heard some bad news from someone last weekend. He said that they were planning on doing with Balto what they did with Land Before Time.
Balto 12! They're planning on releasing a new Balto movie every year or so. I swear to God if they ruin Balto the way they ruined LBT I'm going to personally bomb Universal Studios.

If they're doing to Balto what they did to LBT, they must have a lot of ideas for the movies. I just hope they take out those stupid polar bears, though I don't know if it'll make the movies any better.

Actually I would be happy to never see Muk and Luk again :P. To be honest I don't think they would bother with all those sequels, Balto really isn't popular enough.. most people haven't heard of the original movie!
I dunno. �With each passing movie, the original message of Balto seems to get lost. �If twelve movies did come out, I'd definitely stop caring along the way. �I just don't see how a constant flurry of movies could maintain any sort of quality. �Even if the animation improved, I don't see too much happening storywise. Besides, LBT isn't based on a true story, like the original Balto is.
Well if they're that set on making 12 movies, they had better stick with the characters from the original Balto, plus maybe Alue. My primitive brain cannot handle all these new characters! 
Indeed. It would be worthless to have a whole bunch of meaningless movies that was once based on a true story. I think that it would tarnish the original movie and perhaps lower the already low caring that I've seen for the 1925 Serum Run in reality.

As for Muk and Luk...I think that if they were gonna be in the rest of the movies, then they should be ADULTS, not cubs! I mean, seriously, how long does it take for a polar bear cub to grow up? In WQ, shouldn't they be at least a little bigger? Maybe even adults? They definately should not remain cubs. That would be dumb!

Well W/Q would have been roughly about 3 months after the original left off..so they wouldn't have grown that much...
I really don't want many Balto sequels. Because I used to try to watch all the LBT sequels when I was younger, but now there's too many. Plus I didn't care about them making more sequels of LBT.

Seriously, complaining isn't going to help the matter much, and sequels won't ruin the original film, unless you allow them to. If all else fails, just tell yourself, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but faulty sequels will never hurt me!" 
.... or just don't buy them.. If they don't sell Universal won't make anymore.
Problem is that Balto fans would buy them out of curiosity... I say we should appoint someone to buy one copy, then rip it to Divx and set up a bittorrent file so we can all watch it to se if it sucks or not before we buy it. 
If I knew how to do that, I'd take that offer, TLW, because I seem to be the only one around here who is not opposed to sequels, however numerous they may eventually become. Perhaps I am just simple-minded.
Just as long as they don't make the characters sing about every trivial situation. I might be forced to injure somebody.

I'm not opposed to sequals, per say. However, if they do mkae more, I don't want them to be pointless and have stupid plots. And...they can do without the singing!!!!!
Don't worry. The sequels WILL have songs, and plenty of them. Songs are a cheap way to fill up time, attract the kiddies, and recap the story so they don't get confused.

Whatever happened to good old fashioned rentals? It seems like a rental would satisfy that curiousity while not having to make a serious finicial investment at the same time.
True, but for some of us:
$7 gasoline to get and return movie + $4 rental = $11 = Almost buy the movie.
Besides, if we downloaded it, we could take screengrabs and make fun of it in TBL chat.

If it was about Aleu's son or daughter, it wouldn't really be a Balto movie..
well, if they make 12 movies balto's bound to die of oldness in like, the 5th one so there really would be no point in making anymore. If this movie coming up is about alue's kids than balto's gotta show up as a loving caring granpa dose'nt he?

I think the idea of making the "Balto" series like LBT is crazy . . I mean, I'm not exactly a "sequel" person, but don't you think it gets a bit old? Shoot, the characters never seem to grow old . . . except for the fact that their voices change in almost every movie . .lol . . .

She wants to be wild and free, and find her true place, but Daddy Dearest wants to always be with her, becomes too cautious, and treats her like a child. I agree. Jenna should have been a much stronger mother in WQ. She hardly acts like she does in Balto. That'll be just the start of the destruction of characters if Universal makes a huge series out of it. We can only hope that they feel our pain and DO NOT make any more!

Yeah, that's what I meant . . . . . Now if they (universal studios) made the Balto series like The Lion King . . .(thinks scary thoughts . .), that would be interesting too. I can see it now: Balto 1 1/2! LOL! :P

I know I the new feller here, but I feel I should toss my 4 cents worth into the pile. I enjoy the LBT series, yes, it is a bit silly, but its still pretty cute at times to watch.

But nothing like, hey look, its a snow flake, lets watch it for an hour and a half and sing songs!
As for songs, WolfQuest had some good songs in it, but not too many that it made you wanna get up to find something to eat while listing to the 30th song in the movie.

Actually, if the writers could simply use their heads, I bet that a whole bunch of interesting stories could develop. I mean, what about Balto being on a sled team? No doubt that he'd end up on one after the Serum Run. So, I am fairly certain that each sled adventure would be just that: and adventure!

Indeed. It would make for an even more interesting story, I think. Also, if they have to have Balto's children in it, then maybe they could be a part of the team or whatever.
I still don't understand why Balto is not living with Jenna, too. It's driving me crazy. If Nome really accepted him, then he'd probably end up living with Jenna and Rosy. It makes no sense...yet another reason that I was disappointed with WQ.

Yeah! Like maybe if they could use your example, Aneiryu, then the story would be interesting enough to earn sequel status!
Here it goes: Balto and Jenna might start a sled team, with Rosy (since if you remember the first movie, she wanted to become a musher with Jenna and Balto . . . ) as the musher. Their (Jen's and Balto's) pups want to be a part of it too, and they become a team as they overcome the odds of the facts that: 1) Rosy is a female musher; 2) Balto is a wolfdog; 3) At first, they're not very good, but they never give up; and 4) this is a sequel, for crying out loud!
