I just found this site, With loads of info on Balto 3 including Baltos sons name, Kodi! and its actually in English!!! :D Its good to no that Jenna's in it, I wish the film was about Dingo tho :( Kodi is from the same litter as Alue.

http://www.keyframeonline.com/kf.php?....59ec62c
Huh... :Oo: I think I know the source of this...the news go fast ^^;
I can't believe my site is already so popular... *hides himself*
Ah, at last we have a clear cover!  I'm just ticked that Europeans are getting it before we do.  Hmph! :p
Wow....I must say that I am not entirely unimpressed with how B3 is looking thus far....it looks to be better than WQ, IMO....I think that the general plot outline for the movie sounds fairly descent.....

Hehe....thanks for sharing that, Silverfox!! ^^
I cant wait to see it it looks great......But are the vocies different?

Yup, it says the name of the voices there, they're completely diff. . The cover is nice.
The voices are somewhat similar to WQ...not to the original, I'm afraid....they have the same voice actor for Balot that was in WQ....not sure about the others, though....>_>

It's the same for Jenna,Balto, and Boris from the second movie.*voices*
Yes, these are the same voices as the ones in Wolf quest. It could have been worse, if they changed them again...
As for Jenna, she will probably not have a major part like in the first, but a small like in WQ. I'm curious to see if they could manage to get her acting and looking right this time...
Wow, I'm first on Google for the search "balto 3"  :Oo: Surely because a considerable amount of people came onto this page lol!
Man, I wish they still had the same voices...-__-;;
Looks like North America will get it sometime early 2005...darn. Don't they have songs in Balto 3 like in Wolf Quest...-looks around-... didn't like those songs..-shudders-...it's just to unoriginal.
Well, the plot looks somewhat good. Only thing was when they showed Jenna and Balto's litter in WQ, all were the reddish-Jenna color except Aleu, lol. Looks like they'll have to make an exception!
There's my few cents...XD

EDIT: -looks at cover- Oh...he is reddish...^^;;
I still want to know when the UK are getting it!^^

Yes They do. I liked the songs in "Balto 2" so I'm not worried. Being that Kodi is one of Aleu's Littermates We now know Balto and Jenna had Three Boys and Three Girls(That is if Saba is a Boy). Now We just need to know the names of Aleu's Two sisters(Just wishful thinking on My part)
Has anybody noticed that 'Kodi' could be short for, or eluding to, "Kodiak?"  Nice idea.
Kodi reminds me of Alue, I love Kodi already!!:D

Interesting theory, naming a dog after an island.  Maybe the plane is heading to Kodiak Island??
Hum, Balto's son name isn't 100% official, as we never saw his name on a Universal page or even on online stores. But if it's the case, then I wouldn't be surprised that this is really a nickname for Kodiak.
That seems very obvious to me! I mean, think about it:

Aleu was most likely named for the Aleuian (spell check?) islands in Alaska, so of course the writers named Kodi after the "Kodiaks" (not the camera company, Kodak . . . . ??? )

I can't wait . . . . . but that name sounds cute enough for an official US release . . .  I can hear it now . . .

~it's been a while, huh?
I found this page (again! :) lol) :
here

The interesting thing is, there is a rating for every movie and B3 has a 7/10. I don't know if the guy(s) who rated this have really seen the movie, but in that case it's a pretty good mark compared to the other movies on this site!
Cool! lol, Maybe they did watch it? You can't rait a movie that hasn't been watched.

Yes it is official, the Balto 3 Associate Produce told us it was Kodi
Good if he wasn't Kodi my avatar would be kinda weird:0

It's not that I don't trust him of course, it's just that I didn't want this name to be spreaded on the web before a site would announce it officially...

I don't think the person saw the movie yet, since Australia hasn't released the movie yet.  Unless there was a sneak preview...  Or maybe the rating is based only on the cover...

If the information was pulled off of an official store, then I see no problem with it.  After all, it's just the pup's name, not a plotline.  The producer is just confirming a harmless fact that's already out there.  ;)

That could be a local Video store in My town got a Preview tape of "Balto" a few Months before it was released

Yes, local stores usually get the films earlier, otherwise how would they get the DVD covers scanned?

Precisely, no stores have given his name on any summary yet...(and to me, that confirms he has not a big role in the film)

EDIT: It's even worse than I thought : on this page, the store has put the summary and the cover which come from Keyframe. But Keyframe has taken information from my site to make its B3 page lol !!! Well, it's not so funny because the summary comes from a translation I made myself, and I'm sure it's not completely accurate to the real scenario...
Hmmm,... This sounds like a problem, or is it?! ???
The smile on Kodi's face, it looks freaky.

Eh, I'm still not interested in buying it.

After you look at for awhile it does look freaky :Oo: I can imagin it talking to! :p
LOL it looks like it is stuffed. Perhaps if they release B3 merchandise they drew Kodi to look more like his plush counterpart :P
I checked the page I've talked about in a previous post on this topic (this page), and it says "Our review". And the pic from the cover is the dvd box itself, so it means the guy who gave a 7/10 to the film must have really seen it. And that's a good rate, compared to the ones given to the other films in their catalog   (well, the B1 & 2 pack was also rated 7/10)

EDIT: a little more thing, from this other site, it says:
The first two Balto movies were big hits in their day, and  expect the third in the series to be just as big. The third tale of the lovable artic wolf is just as engaging as the first, so your knee-high customers are going to scramble to it.

(besides, this is the first english information on it...)
WHY is it under the "disney" genre? D:

I'll buy it, I have a high tolerance level for sequels. XD
Right so there are four characters definatly in balto 3, Balto, Kodi, Jenna and Boris. I serched for all four of them and it says nothing about them being in Balto 3. Look here at Sean Astins one... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000276/
Yes, it's Sam Gamgee from The lord of the rings  :) I wonder why he accepted to give his voice to a direct-to-video movie, but it's a good thing!
i saw that and i was like "awright! sam!"
thats sweet that he's gonna be a voice in kh 2

I wonder why he accepted to give his voice to a direct-to-video movie,

It could be that He just likes animation
Or maybe he likes the original Balto? Anyway, it's a common thing to ask for famous actors to voice animated movies, and it's becoming more and more the case with the DTV.
that's great. With the continuing inclusion of famous actors maybe DTV sequels won't be 'cheapquels' anymore! lol since the series will get more popular, the animation would get better. etc etc. can't wait for that to happen ^_^

tale of the lovable artic wolf

Whoa! Artic Wolf? Who they talkin' about? Balto or some other wolf!? I wouldn't really call em' an artic wolf. ???
Balto, of course...most people don't even know about the white wolf, and besides I'm not even sure this man has seen the two previous ones before seeing the third (if he really did). But it's still interesting that he says "artic", it confirms once more that it is really set in winter, with all of the effects of it  :)
And, I don't know for you, but I think that these "direct-to-video" sequels are becoming better, especially on the animation side : look at TLK 1 1/5, Mickey the 3 musketeers, LBT 10, and some others I'm sure I've forgotten...I'm sure it has a link with the fact they won't do big 2D animation movies for theaters anymore.
I guess you're right, so he prob. never watched em eh?
I think he did at least watched Balto 3, because if you look at the comments on the other movies, it doesn't seem that someone can make such critics without actually see them.

It could be that too. And if Your theory abou DTV animation inprovving is right. then their is a bright side to the Stuidos 3D only Mandate :)
Wow its amazing that they're putting out a Balto 3, one thing I do hope is that it's better than Balto 2.  And by the way, I wrote a song about the movie and it's not even out yet ^^
There's something else that's bothering me, regarding the cover; Kodi looks too damn short. Unless this movie takes place while Alue is still living with Balto, I think Kodi should be more Balto's height.
Perhaps he is a dwarf dog? After all, Sean Astin is the voice actor, and he is a small guy lol  :)

I think It's just a cover mistake. Like the American cover of "Balto 2" Or maybe it was done on perpous so the buyer would know that the other dog is Balto's son
I agree, but I don't know, why is this storie centered around a dog that was in the liter of WQ. Was this pup rejected and went back to his parents Balto and Jenna, what ???
hmmm. that is a good point you have there. what is so special about this pup?
No, in fact he is not at the center of the story, I have read several summaries of the scenario from various stores, and none really mentions Kodi. I don't know if he has something special, but he is definately not as important as Aleu was in the story.
now im very curious as to what the story line is about now that they are saying nothing about kodi
Having Balto as the star isn't a bad thing at all! Though Kodi's part must be big because He is on the cover. Maybe Kodi is one of the dogs on Balto's sled team(I think Kodi will be an Adult in the Movie)
The german Universal Pictures site has added a page for Balto 3 :
here
Nothing new, except that it's official information.

I don't understand that part either. Why is Kodi (a supposed littermate of Aleu) in this story? Is it because the writers are so bored in the head that they made Kodi one of Balto's previous children that was given to a good home (in Wolf Quest) and then works as a sled dog with his daddy dearest? I still think he's adopted . . .

How about this: Can someone help prove that Kodi is one of the original Wolf Quest pups, once and for all?

Let's see: According to the various covers of Balto 3, Kodi is either brownish (like his "daddy") or reddish (Jenna-clone color) with blue eyes (they look blue to me).
I've looked at several screenshots from WQ with all of the pups in them (like the shot with Balto and the six pups the day before they're given away), and I've discovered that only two of the Jenna-clones have blue eyes. Unfortunately, they have a girlish look to them.

See for yourself:
This is a link to a shot of the two blue-eyed Jenna-clones:

Just for the heck of it, here's the other two Jenna-clones with their daddy:

And here's a nice shot of Kodi on the cover (from steetboris' site):

You can plainly see that Kodi's eyes are blue, like Aleu's. Out of the two pups with blue eyes, the one that looks like Kodi (with Jenna's markings) is probably the one that is Kodi. Only if it is officially proven in either the movie or something else that Kodi is about of the original six in Wolf Quest.

. . . . . rant over . . . . please do not bash me . . . . .
I only speak the truth . . . . .
You're taking the wrong cover for your example. IMO, that cover was an early cover and they remade it for some reasons (maybe because Kodi didn't look like the same on the cover as in the movie...) I thought it was a special cover for Italy, but I was wrong since it has also changed in this country : look at This.
Here's the GOOD cover :

http://baltosource.timduru.org/img/b3coberm.jpg

And as you can see, he could be at least two of the pups.

This is exactly this...but I'm not sure Balto has really become a sled dog, I think he is a sled dog for some special reason in this film.
Actually steetboris, . . . I just realized that both of us were wrong.
Note Kodi's markings on the cover. I thought they were Jenna's, but they look more like his sister's markings (Aleu). So actually, only one other pup has those markings. That one is most likely to be Kodi. And his eyes are blue too!

Now we wait until the movie comes out to see if my theory is correct. Oh, and thanks for the new cover. It doesn't show Kodi's eyes as well as the other cover that I used, but that's the only reason why I put that one up.

i guess the only thing we can do is wait until the release to find out for sure. because why is it centered around one pup.
unless, as someone said, kodi was a sled dog and once the planes tooks over, he kinda lost his job. and as sites say, one plane crashes.

who really knows, only the release will tell.
