Now that there's a Balto 3 coming, what are the possibilities of a Balto Box Set?
Has Universal ever done a box set for its animated films before?
Perhaps an overseas box set?
I laugh at the idea of a box set ever coming to the United States. They're always ripping us Americans off of the real goods!

There's a posibilaty, but usally they might be on the net. I think steetboris found something.

Do you mean : a box set for B1 & B2, or for the three movies? In a lot of countries here in Europe, box sets have already been released for B1 & B2, but they are usually out of stock. It was not released in all countries though, and sometimes in VHS, sometimes in DVD. But I have noticed that in every country in Europe, Universal will (re)release a double dvd box set, one month or two before the release of B3. And there are good chances that a few months after, they will also release a triple pack. It's a common marketing thing with Universal, look at Land before time, it has even two quadruple-packs...I never thought that the USA didn't get a double pack, it's strange, but maybe they will release one soon.
This is for example a french double pack : here
But, these packs have nothing special, it contains the same DVDs that can be bought separate, it's just cheaper. 97-106196079828 Aug 2004, 15:13 UTC
i'm looking forward to one that will have all three movies
looks like I'll be doing my shopping on Ebay and Amazon again in a couple of months

I hope there will be! I really do cause I haven't even got WQ yet
And I've only got the VHS of Balto

I doubt that the United States will get a box set. Universal has a nasty habit of cheating us when it comes to Balto related stuff. Of course part of me hopes I'm proven wrong.

I'd like a box set, and I hope one is released. I mean, it won't cost too much for Universal to release a box set, would it? As for Universal cheating the US, tell me about it! Balto and Wolf Quest were both yanked from the shelves of Best Buy and Wal Mart a month ago. When Wolf Quest was released in 02, I don't think that any new merchandise was released. I'm wondering if B1 and B2 will be put back on the shelves when Wings of Change gets released...83-108302525629 Aug 2004, 07:36 UTC

I would take that as a good news!
Because the same happened in Europe, it's simply impossible to find the DVDs in local stores, you can only find them by ordering online. That's a marketing thing, by removing them, they are sure that their re-release with sell more, so I'm sure that a double pack will soon be announced to be released in the USA.79-109362624006 Sep 2004, 21:34 UTC
im not sure, but it looks like boxsets are on this site

You never know folks 115-108568278506 Sep 2004, 22:00 UTC
Yes, these are the french DVDs lol
You can see the VHS double pack, which was released two years ago, and the DVD double pack which will be released late october 2004 (one month before Balto 3) 80-107376962112 Sep 2004, 13:00 UTC
Didn't I write here before?:???: I do hope they have a boxset of all 3 film on DVD. I'm worried that, I'll buy the 3rd, then they'll send out a set of all 3. But then I'd already have the 3rd!
But I guess I could just give the extra away... 74-108043194712 Sep 2004, 18:53 UTC

I know that Universal released a box set for the LBT series (until they added the most recent one(s)), but I only saw it on VHS . . . maybe they made one for DVD too . . .
A Balto series box set sounds cool! I mean, Disney's making one for the TLK trilogy (TLK, TLK2, TLK 1.5), so it would be awesome if Universal could listen to us Balto fanpeople and release a boxset trilogy based on our favorite wolf-dog-turned-hero/daddy's adventures!
*rant over . . . . .98-109132677013 Sep 2004, 02:13 UTC

NOOOOOOOOOOOO! Anyway, why would they do such a thing? They aren't going to make a huge profit, and heck, they might even lose money. UGH! I just can't imagine it!74-108043194713 Sep 2004, 04:44 UTC

Possibly out of sheer boredom?
That's scary . . . . . I hope that LBT ends soon . . . no good movie should go through the complete torture that the original LBT went through. Balto . . . is okay though. I like those movies better! Better storylines would be better, but anywho . . . . whatcha gonna do?

Boredom? Universal must be really bored, if they released such a product! They haven't released B3 in the States, much less a release date, and Universal pours their attention onto this!
IMO, Universal should just leave LBT alone and refocus their attention onto Balto, which IMO should get more attention than what it's getting.83-108302525618 Sep 2004, 04:48 UTC
You're absolutely right b12wq430 BALTO NEEDS MORE PRESS!!!

Wait until 2025 . . . they'll probably do a re-release of the Balto saga . . .
That is, if they remember that all of the events that took place in the true story (in which the original movie was based on) in the year 1925.
That would be awesome! I'll be so old though . . . it's only 21 years away . . . .

I hope Balto remaines in the Public Mind that long
It would be cool
if They made a big deal about the 100th annivercery of The race for Life. Or maby if "Balto 3" comes out over Here
in 2005 wich is the 80th annivercery a big deal will be made of that115-108568278511 Oct 2004, 10:54 UTC
There will be a "Balto collection" pack released in Italia in november (one month and a half after the release of the third) It will contains the 3 Dvds. Considering that Universal seems to do the same things everywhere in the world (except the USA...), they will probably do the same later elsewhere in the world, and perhaps there will be the same pack in the USA after the release of B3 there.

I hope so! I think that if Universal releases a three-disc set of the "Balto Trilogy", I'd buy it. I mean, I own the first two movies on VHS and would love to get them on DVD!
Me thinks that might work . . . .
115-108568278512 Oct 2004, 05:24 UTC
The question is : will you be able to wait for 2 or more extra months to get B3 in the pack and not alone?
70-106196059212 Oct 2004, 10:27 UTC
I'd get (well I have got) B3 and if they release a pack, I'd probably buy that too cos I probably need to get out more or something.
97-106196079812 Oct 2004, 17:44 UTC
I'm a patient enough girl to hope and wait for the three pack to come to the states. In fact, I just sold my Balto 2 DVD (it was very used and missing an insert when I bought it anyway) So I can a clean and new Balto 3 collectio

During those two or more extra months, I'd probably be renting the third movie, watching it, and wondering whether it really is worth the wait to buy the set . . . . .
I'd probably do it anyway . . if a set is released in the US. If not, who knows?
