115-108568278521 Jan 2005, 16:19 UTC
Good
And unlike Wolf Quest, I believe it's a good thing, because I think that most people who didn't plan to buy it, will buy it after having seen it.
What is your source? 76-106254582321 Jan 2005, 16:21 UTC
I got it directly from CN's WebSite! so I guess CN isn't so bad afterall..lol
115-108568278521 Jan 2005, 16:34 UTC
Really? I can't seem to find that anywhere. To me the TV schedule only goes up to 27 january...
76-106254582321 Jan 2005, 16:43 UTC
Heres a pic of CN's airing schedule...

115-108568278521 Jan 2005, 16:51 UTC
Ok, so you got to click on "see all showings" to see further
They are also playing the original just behind, that's good news
But I think they should have showed the third AFTER the original, but well... 68-108707261921 Jan 2005, 17:05 UTC
OOOO! YAYA!! Thanks again, Lowes... Now, I'm gonna watch it on TV now first.
75-109926563821 Jan 2005, 18:55 UTC
FINALLY! ALRIGHT! This is so awesome! I'll probably watch it! *thinks* yea i will!
75-109907082621 Jan 2005, 20:10 UTC
Horray *dances for joy*
70-109096490521 Jan 2005, 21:58 UTC
Know me, I'll probably forget, I always do forget something big. But hey, I don't watch T.V. all day.
66-109650395322 Jan 2005, 00:08 UTC
The sound on the B3 VCD was horrible, and now that it's going to be aired on CN, I'll be able to hear better quality. HOOORAAA!!!!! lol well jan. 30 huh? I'll have to mark that on my calenender so I won't forget.
83-110143582722 Jan 2005, 00:52 UTC
Oh good I was hoping they would do that too. I can now tape it and not worry about buying it. Even though fast forwarding through comercials gets annoying after a while.
69-106279399522 Jan 2005, 01:48 UTC
Nice find Lowes. While my anticipation is extremely high, I think I'll pass on it. I'd rather wait a few extra days and see it commercial-free. Of course, that's what I say now. I will most likely change my mind by the time the 30th rolls around.
74-108043194722 Jan 2005, 03:01 UTC
Wow. Such great news!
I might have to see whether I can look at it on someone's TV here at college . . . . . but I might watch it. If I miss it, there's always buying the DVD two days later!
100-109832446622 Jan 2005, 05:33 UTC
Oh finally, and yes, its gonna be be clearer than the VCD
74-108043194722 Jan 2005, 06:04 UTC
Fortunately, we get to see it a couple of hours before the YTV showing of it . . . .
(No offense to the Canadian Balto fans out there!
) 84-106196075222 Jan 2005, 07:05 UTC
Can't watch it...gotta work...what a stupid time to be showing it...
83-106196071622 Jan 2005, 07:19 UTC
Do you have a VCR, Tala? You can always tape it, or you can just wait until the 1st. ^_^;
It'll give me something to do next Sunday. I'm looking forward to a good quality version of the movie, but I can do without the commericals. So, I'll probably end up watching it on Sunday, then buying it on Tuesday.

I just hope everyone won't react the same way, or Universal will not care anymore about that license. (they already don't care much...) But seeing that Wolf Quest had strong sales (which surprise me because it was a major disapointment at the time), this will probably the same with WoC. And I would also say that I'm expecting some people who wouldn't have bought it if they haven't seen it before
So, they are showing adverts during the films? Even cartoons? Wow, that's even worse than in France...67-106196056522 Jan 2005, 23:29 UTC
This is good news! I know I will not be able to watch the movie during the work week. I do not mind the commericals since I get a chance to evaluate the movie without paying for it.
118-110644348723 Jan 2005, 01:28 UTC
If I feel like it, I guess I'll watch it but the chances are pretty slim.
84-106196075223 Jan 2005, 06:08 UTC
My bad...I thought it said thurs Jan 30th
83-108302525623 Jan 2005, 08:04 UTC
I'll watch It Sunday
,And buy It, Tusday
78-110650140323 Jan 2005, 17:54 UTC
Ooh... yeah, I'll see if I can't watch it Sunday...
118-110644348723 Jan 2005, 21:47 UTC
I's just going to wait tell it's on On Demand. I'll be paying 3.99 for it but I can handle that. If it's something I like, I can watch it again and record it; tell I get enough money to buy the DVD.
65-106196054224 Jan 2005, 18:41 UTC
I'll be waiting to see it on the 1st: no commercials, and DVD quality.
76-106254582330 Jan 2005, 15:56 UTC
NOTE Central viewers..it will be shown at 11:00 AM in your time zone..again this will effect CST zone users in the US!..so hurry! because you may miss it if your not quick!
68-108707261930 Jan 2005, 18:44 UTC
I saw it just now. It was interesting. I like Kodiak. Even though, he was so pocessed with the fact of being a hero. In the end, it was awesome. Right during those credits, they start the first movie. During! But, that's okay!
76-106196064530 Jan 2005, 18:45 UTC
heheh, not to worry, i had to go to Church this morning, but, i had a fresh VHS tape recordin' in my VCR, i have my own copy of B3 now
74-108043194730 Jan 2005, 18:49 UTC
Yeah, I just finished watching it. It was . . . interesting! I'm surprised that the reviews were right: It was pretty good. Better than Wolf Quest, I will have to agree with that!
I'm surprised Kodi didn't get that much screen time (seeing he's on the cover and everything . .) and that Boris and the bears probably got more time than him! That's the only thing that saddened me. And Stella, . . . she wasn't that bad. Her song was the only slight problem . . . but I sorta liked her character.
Overall, great sequel. IMO I can definately see room for a Balto 4 . . . .
Anyone else?
76-106254582330 Jan 2005, 18:52 UTC
yeah I agree with you about kodi not getting enough screen-time..and that song was hideous..lol..but if you asked me for a rating on a scale of 1 to 10..I would definity say 10...
68-108707261930 Jan 2005, 19:00 UTC
The only thing that erased my interest in the movie is Stella. She's such an annoying character. Sometimes, I wonder why they created a character like her. Disgusting like Fluke had to comment. (I think it was Fluke.) I didn't like Stella at all. But, otherwise, great movie for little kids.
76-106254582330 Jan 2005, 19:07 UTC
I'm going to be honest..but I think cn Edited the movie to fit their programming schedule..cuz I have about 70 or screencaps that I cant remember seeing even one frame close to..so I'm gonna wait on a detailed review untill after I've the UN-Edited version that's on the DVD...
74-108043194730 Jan 2005, 19:12 UTC
I think I'll wait on a big review for when I watch my copy of WoC (probably on Friday; I'll try to buy it on Tuesday, but with my schedule for classes, I'll be too busy to watch it . . . maybe Thursday night perhaps) . . .
Weird, Stella didn't seem to bad in the end. I just couldn't tolerate her entrance and the song . . . *shudders* And in a kid's movie too!
75-109926563830 Jan 2005, 20:33 UTC
Overall I thought the movie was really good. Except for Stella's song
uugh!
90-110494945730 Jan 2005, 20:56 UTC
I didn't get to see the whole movie, since it was half way over when I turned it on at 12:00. I might get it on DVD this week. Hopefully on Tuseday.
103-107040115430 Jan 2005, 22:10 UTC
I didn't watch it only little parts. I'd rather see it without commercials and with surround sound. I've been bugging my mom about going to Walmart to get it. She probably won't go because we are getting more snow and it would be "dangerous" to drive, I told her no matter what I'm going with or without her.
84-106196075230 Jan 2005, 23:18 UTC
Missed it...oh well...will get the DVD on Tues.
75-106283620430 Jan 2005, 23:29 UTC
Pretty good movie, I liked it. Hmm whats weird is that when stella started to sing there was a stairway thing that just popped out of nowhere LoL, i think when jenna was singing it was alright, i liked it
118-110644348731 Jan 2005, 01:31 UTC
Ugh, singing? There's one reason why I might not buy it. Hopefully I'll be able to catch it on CN when it airs again, and they'll probably air it again this weekend. If not, I'll just have to wait tell it's on On Demand. Even with me getting a job, I'm not ready to fork out 15-20 dollars on something I might not enjoy.
78-110711749731 Jan 2005, 02:10 UTC
Oh, dangit! I was planning on watching it (I knew that had the premier of WOLF QUEST and I figured they'd have WINGS OF CHANGE, too) but I missed it.
Actually, I had a chance to watch at least one-third of it, but I had to tend to my horse- she has this weird eye infection. Trust me, though, I'd rather have her okay than watch B3 right at that moment- I'll just buy it on Feb. 3
I'm real sorry I missed it, though.
84-106196075231 Jan 2005, 04:20 UTC
Uh...Jenna was singing? *shudders*
87-106196077931 Jan 2005, 05:48 UTC
I watched it .. and all i have to say is I just wanted the voice actor for boris to be brutally beaten by 6 burly chinese men wearing kimonos and yelling in german!

I agree. He should be bashed. Badly. That didn't even sound Russian to me! More like gibberish . . .

She wasn't too bad. At least it wasn't someone like Boris or Balto singing . . . . (Or the new trio . . . *that's worth shuddering!*)83-108302525631 Jan 2005, 07:31 UTC

Yes
I'd love to see another Balto Movie!(If It is well maide of Course) I loved Jenna's song To Lowes4803: Cartoon Network May have Edited Balto 3. That makes Me feel good I thought The movie went by Very fast.65-110464296231 Jan 2005, 07:39 UTC
I think the movie was great. The part with Stella was hilarious in my opinion. Universal really made a come back from WQ to this. WoC still will never be able to match the impact rating that the original Balto got in 1995.

I had exactly the opposite feeling when I watched it for the first time, and Acanis too. So they may have edited it...How many commercial adverts was there? Some told me there was like 10...It can't be possible?83-106196071631 Jan 2005, 16:12 UTC
There were commericals about every 10 minutes. It was fairly annoying in that respect and one reason why I don't care too much for movies on TV. Whenever advertisements are involved something always gets lost.
I personally could have done without the Boris/Stella parts of the movie. Sometimes I found them slightly annoying or out of place, other times they amused me a little. But like I said in the past, the movie was MUCH better than Wolf Quest to me, as it was more like the original. I really enjoyed the little references they had here and there.
I wouldn't have minded seeing more of Kodi and his fellow team mates. They were fairly interesting and I would have liked to have known more about their characters. I'm also not disappointed with the fact that Muk and Luk hardly got any air time.
The songs weren't that bad really. Other than the strange bit with Stella, the other two were well placed.
I don't know if I like the idea of a Balto 4. How much more can Universal do and still expect to Balto meaningful?
115-108568278531 Jan 2005, 18:07 UTC
Every 10 minutes...* dies * If it was the same in France, I wouldn't watch TV anymore, that's for sure... And it's not a free channel?! That's plain horrible...

It's still not sure, and we don't know anything. So the best thing to do would be : wait & see... 74-108043194731 Jan 2005, 18:43 UTC
It did seem to go by fast. I was mainly surprised by the fact that it started exactly at noon! (Most movies might have a short trailer-like description before the movie actually starts) I agree, there was too many adverts. I really think that some bits were edited out (why edit? It's a short movie anyway), but at least we all (in the US) can watch it in its entirely tomorrow!
yay. let's celebrate for WoC! w00t.
68-108707261931 Jan 2005, 21:13 UTC
I thought that it was cute how everything goes into place. Stella is not what I really want in the storyboards. But, I guess she had to have a role of helping Balto. I didn't mind it so much. I liked Kodi's lines. I liked Jenna's song about being a hero at heart.
About commercials, they were just annoying. I was about to turn the movie off right now and then. I found no interest in them. Why bother? I like HBO more than CN, because there's no commercials what-so-ever. Hehe.
I loved the movie overall. There was a little loose spot or two. I thought that it was really scary that Jenna howled. I can howl a lot better than Benson. *Closes eyes to picture Kodi again* I love Kodi, even though he didn't get much screentime.
69-110464574401 Feb 2005, 02:58 UTC
Yes, there were too many commercials. The movie felt a lot choppier than it should have felt.
About Jenna howling.. Well, I kinda liked it, but I felt it was an attempt to bring back a bit of the spunky, go-get-em attitude from the Jenna in the original Balto. While Jenna acted with more attitude than in B2, it still fell short of what she was in the original Balto. But I also liked her song.
And yes, Kodi should have gotten more air time- I was under the assumption that the movie would be more focused on him, kinda like how they focused on Aleu in B2. 75-110722783401 Feb 2005, 03:23 UTC
I saw it on CN, and it was pretty good ^.^ The songs, aside from the one Jodi Benson sang, seemed pointless. But it was a good storyline. Coulda been more Kodi though
75-110615482401 Feb 2005, 04:28 UTC
Crap! Oh snap! I totally forgot it was going to be on!! I can't believe I did that! Oh well, guess I will just have to buy it tomorrow.
118-110644348701 Feb 2005, 04:39 UTC
Muk and Luk don't get much air time? Good. Now there's a reason for me to buy it. Muk and Luk were fine in the first, but they had no point in the second and I really don't see the need in having them being in the third.
As for a forth Balto.. *gags*

Well, at least they weren't as annoying as the commercials on CN . . . LOL.
I was happy that the WoC debut on CN was such a success for many of us Balto fans. With exceptions for the many unnecessary adverts, of course (and Stella's singing?
).
I still think Jenna's howl was weird. Kodi howls better than his mom! Ain't that funny?
Fourth Balto prediction: Muk and Luk grow up? I hope so! Live your life and go find a mate or something! (thinks about this happening and sees baby Muks and Luks dogpiling Boris) Oh yeah . . . that's scary! The Boris dogpile would be fun though (Didn't like him in WoC anyway . . .)83-108302525601 Feb 2005, 08:35 UTC
I loved that Jenna Howled back to Balto as The team returned. And her song It was the Best out of the Three Can't wait to buy It Today
115-108568278501 Feb 2005, 10:32 UTC
Strange, am I the only one who think that Everything Flies is the best song out of the three?... Oh, so I suppose it is because I'm not english. Well, to me, if the film had been as well done as the introduction was, I think it could have been the perfect sequel. It's still strange that they made so big efforts in the introduction, and also in the ending (animation-wise), and not during the whole film. Budget restrictions, probably. It's still better than no well animated parts...

I dont think so..That was also my favorite song out of the 3.. I was even considering doing a metal remix of it for the heck of it...so you're not alone!75-110615482401 Feb 2005, 18:52 UTC
Bought it today. Honestly, I did not find stellas character too bad. My only thing is it seemed they tried to make her look a bit to... uhhh... 'womanly,' if you know what I mean.
Overall, this was definately better then WQ. Kodi was a much better character then Alue and there was no spirit guidance jazz goin on.

Cool, Lowes... I'll be getting the DVD of the movie. That actually looks a lot cuter than I thought..
*~Edit: I'll copy and paste that and I'll be like drawing Balto and Kodi... I'll enjoy doing that... Or from the cover.. Could be very fun!~* 84-106196075202 Feb 2005, 03:36 UTC
Picked the movie up today. It is better then wolf quest...animation and everything LOL
83-108302525602 Feb 2005, 07:20 UTC
I got It Yesterday It's even better without commercials
But It looks like Cartoon Network didn't cut Anything 118-110644348705 Feb 2005, 17:53 UTC
Even though I was going to wait tell I saw it on TV before I bought the DVD, I saw it at Wal-Mart for fifteen dollars and decided to get it. Not often you fine a new DVD for that low of a price. As for the movie, it was better then what I thought.
The only problem I have with the movie is how Duke was able to move around like nother happened once Balto woke him up. The movie could've done without the singing, I thought the songs were a little weak but I enjoyed the music.
One last thing, I just hope little kids don't pick up on the meaning on some of the words they used, like "juice." Gee, I wonder what the goose meant when she said that.
Would anybody else agree that Stella came off like a *insert word* at the start of the movie?
83-106196071605 Feb 2005, 18:08 UTC
It's about $14.99 everywhere, cheers for quality entertainment mediums and lower prices.
Well, I'd have to say that as far Duke moving around, a lot of artistic license was used. I believe it was near spring, so the temperatures weren't as deadly as in the winter time. IE, that'd be a good reason for him not to freeze to death. Although if left in a position like that for such a long time, I'm pretty certain that he'd have much more than a sprained ankle, he'd probably be numb all over. But it's something I can easily overlook, especially when I think about the original Balto. By all rights, Kaasen should have frozen to death whether the team got the medicine through or not.
Well, no one ever says that you can't find adult references in childrens' movies. I have yet to see an animated film, or cartoon outside of somethinig like PBS that didn't have them. And yeah, Stella seemed a bit male hungry at the start of the movie. It turns out she's NOT that bad by the end, but her introduction certainly leaves a lasting impression.
118-110644348707 Feb 2005, 03:56 UTC
I watched it again and I think that moose scene could've been trashed. Oddly enough, the first moose looked a lot like the moose in the second Care Bears movie. And I have to agree, Jenna's howl was just.. *shudder*
On a side note, I like Kodi more then Alue. Kodi wasn't as bratty as his sister. :;):
83-108302525607 Feb 2005, 10:20 UTC
I thought the Adult jokes in "Balto 3" wrer less Noticeable than the Ones in "Balto 1". As much As I Love Aleu I like Kodi better Also
