Balto came out against Toy Story in Theaters in 1995. I also think Universal did a bad job promoting It.
Yes its true SimbasGuard universal didnt promote it pretty well.
It's not that people don't like it (even not at all the case), it's just that it's not known. For multiple reasons which would be too long to list, but the major reasons are the ones Simbasguard said.
for example, i only knew about this film when i first saw it in 2002 at christmas, and joined the board early 2003, i never even heard of it before that time, when i saw the film because i had never heard of it i wasn't even sure if i'd find anything online, until i searched, obviously i was very long, and because of the bad promotions thats why we have fans joining the boards ect... all the time, because people slowly get to watch it, and hear about it from others.
I agree with SimbasGuard: a lot of people like Balto, but it wasn't promoted in 1995, so not everyone know Balto.
Hmm, ya. I also agree wirh SimbasGuard.
Yeah! I agree with SimbasGuard. It's not like Balto made it to the big screen like Toy Story. It was only out on video at the time in 1995. While Toy Story was in theaters already. Still, I wish Balto made it in theaters. If Balto did make it to the big screen, then it probably would have gotten more attention. Ohh well. But anyways, good call SimbasGuard.

I didn't usually see movies in theaters when i was young. I don't remember the first time I saw it. I had to be like 4 or 5. hmm.
Oh boy, here we go- another discussion on Universal's mistake. And- once again- I have to say 'I agree' because they really did make a bad decision, releasing it at the time and all, and their marketing today for the sequels still isn't really up to snuff in my opinion.
Yea that does make since SimbasGuard.
yea I only new about Balto when I watched it in school like 2 weeks ago. If I hadnt had that class I probably woudnt found out about the Balto movie and be hooked like I am now.

Yes, I feel the same way...At least it's nice to see that nearly everyone agree on that.
