I wished the same thing Myself sometimes
He will be mine, oh yes he will be mine.. everything has a price you know?
Oh yes, everything has a price, I know...
My Parents had a Real wolf at a time in there house like a dog.(Crazy insn't it). being in contct with it.But they payed for his food and such.Is that cool or what.SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! true about the price thing.
Actually, I am planning on having a wolf hybrid (wolfdog). I might get o wolf dog, but still I dream of having Balto as a pet. "No wait, I think I like Kodi better". But anyways, having Balto as a pet would be pretty cool.

Your a fool if you want a wolfdog hybrid, wolves should be wild, not interbred into society where *anyone* can own one
I see no point in breeding a wolf with a husky or regular dog, be happy with what ya' got!
Hey I have a wolf/husky! Some people in southern Alberta rescued a wolf or something. Then it mated with one of their huskies. So, it was expensive, but I got him for my last b-day. I named him Blizzard!! But I call him Buddy or blizzy sometimes. He's white.
Hey that's pretty cool Funkee_puppee!!!! I wish I had a wolf dog. But I guess a husky is good enough for me. *And Fluke, I respect your opinion. I know that you believe having a wolf at home is not goos. You believe that wolves should be in the wild. But, I still want a wolfdog, and nothing can change that!!!!!!!*

I heard that every state might think about banning Wolf or Wolfdogs (as pets) in the U.S because you cannot tame wild wolves. Besides, it'll be the toughest choice to make. I wouldn't mind it but, to be safe, you shouldn't get a hybrid. It may be harmless but, as my teacher said, they can turn their back on you.
I ment in a pen somewhere but paid for its food
I have a husky lab-cross too. Good thing I live in Canada.
I love wolves ( don't we all?! ) but I would never keep one as a pet. They need packmates, miles and miles of terra, real game to hunt... things we just can't give them. I'd feel like I was really hurting them. Wolves are meant to be wild. And wolfdogs are known to get a little 'hybrid energy' which can be very dangerous. They only like 'pack members' and usually do not welcome newcomers or guests, who they feel are tresspassing on their terra.
Here are some good links about 'pet' wolves:

There's also another link I considered putting up, but did not have the time to read all 73 pages of it, so I don't know if it was good or not. See for yourself:

Don't get me wrong, now- I know that wolves are not 'rutheless killers' and I love them, but they are wild, and though there have been many people to succesfully form a safe, trusting bond with a wolf, they really shouldn't be kept as pets, especially around children. Read the one with the wolfpark address for more about that. It was written by Monty Sloan (famed wolf and wildlife photographer) and I found it very informative.

Dont know, to get a wolf-dog hybrid is kinda risky, in the Carpatians wolves are no joke and so to bears.
Guys who live at the mountain can tell you stories of wolves and bears who entered the cities.
And about the shooting of the animals, just out of fear.
Anyway i prefer a Cehaslovachian sheepdog, they where bred by the army combining wolves and slovachian sheepdogs, but that was 50 years ago and they are "gentle".

One time I saw on tv that this guy had a fully grown grizzly bear at his house. What a stupid thing to do huh.
No more stupid then a wolf in your house.
If you're going to get a wolf/wolf-dog, cool whatever just do some research before you get one; and don't get one because it'll be "cool." Also, don't EVER consider it a pet; nothing ticks me off more then when people own a wild animal and call it a "pet." Wild animals aren't pets, douchebags.
One thing I disliked about Balto, they gave the wolf-dog the wrong image.
