Like my friend Fluke mentioned, the White wolf has created quite a debate since its debut in Balto 1. But what started this debate? I'll tell you! The question as to the white wolf being Balto's mother or not. Whell, that debate continues here! I want to know what you think! Is the White Wolf, a.k.a. Aniu, Balto's mom? Or is she just a character that shows Balto his wolf side in Balto 1?

I also Agree that Aniu, And The White Wolf are One in the Same
And I as well. And really the only strong argument the Anti-Aniu-is-White-Wolf people have is that they don't look identicle. While this is perfictly understandable, this aurgument has several holes:
As shown in Balto's sequel, Aniu is a shape-shifter, which would explain any changes the animators might have made in the White Wolfs design. But their OTHER aurgument is that the White Wolf and Balto didn't seem to recognize eachother. But to me, it seems that Balto might have had a vague sense of Deja vu, and some guilt looks like it might be apon his face. As for the White Wolf not acting Maternal, we don't really know, if the WW IS Aniu, what she was trying to do, but being matherly was NOT included in it.
