Favorite scenes

Hey guys, just wanted to know your favorite scenes from Balto, not gonna say anything about he second 'cause I haven't see it.
Anyways I think my favorite scene is the whole whitewolf part, or maybe it's the search scene, y'know, when he's looking for the lost team. What's your favorite parts?

The whole thing, except for the live-action parts.

well, we all love the whole movie, but it i had to pick, i'd say the scene starting on the boat where Balto is checking out Jenna and ending as he looks at his reflection, and walks up to jenna...

but that's a pretty hard decision, in fact, i haven't seen the movie in quite a while, so this may be my *current* favorite cause i don't remember many other scenes

I really loved the whole movie, but I still find myself able to pick out the scenes I really loved.  The first would be The Ice Cave scene (no surprise there), and second would be the White Wolf Scene.

Definitely the White Wolf scene, but only if the music counts as part of the scene (without the wonderful composition, the White Wolf scene would certainly not be so mystifyingly dramatic). Placing the premier combination of audio and visual aside, I think that the scene with Balto & Jenna under the hospital was really emotional - the part when Balto shows Jenna how the light refracted through the bottles becomes "the northern lights." Eh, maybe I'm too romantic? LOL.

         Yeah, I like the whole movie, but I like those two parts of it the most.

My favorite scene is when Balto accepts his wolf side. Or noun to us all as the white wolf scene. It is my favorite part for reasons only knoun to my friends or people who know me.

...Oh!..I think like Lone Wolf^^...Um..I think ,I like every  scene!(Oh! I like  the scene that is Balto get the cap to Rosie too! He is very smart ^^..

The emotion is simply mystifying. Movie scores are constantly pouring through my head..and the composition is one of the best I've ever heard. As the scene wouldn't be nearly as powerful without the score, the score also isn't quite as riveting alone, without the wolf howls. As I've said many times before: James Horner is a genius.
But not just the White Wolf scene; within the same score, before that scene, when Jenna spreads the broken bottles and recreates Balto's 'Northern Lights'. How emotional that is, that she retains hope for the Dogsled Team when the rest of Nome thinks that all is lost.

(I must be a sucker for movie scores..lol)

Alright, so you want a good answer, huh?

I pick the white wolf scene (and the bit with Jenna leading up to it), too.

It's true that, without the score, the scene isn't as powerful, but it's not just the score. The wonderful shot of Balto silhouetted in front of the sun is the single most memorable frame in the entire movie for me. The colors during the entire wolf sequence and the swirling snow give it a sense of urgency. And that first howl... the other howls in the scene are good, but that first one sends shivers down my spine.

It isn't just the power of the scene itself, either. The entire movie builds up to that moment. It's still great afterwards, but the main tension is gone; the white wolf scene is the climax, everything after it is resolution. It's the little things earlier in the movie that build it up so well, like Balto's encounter with the wolf pack early on. Also, remember the scene where Balto is sitting on his boat, watching Steele and the team leave Nome? At the end of the scene, Balto sort of looks up for a moment, but then drops his head and ears and looks all sad. It's always seemed to me that Balto really *wants* to howl there, but tells himself that he shouldn't. The white wolf scene is both the climax of the movie and the final release of everything Balto has been storing up for who knows how long.

Thats how I feel too, definitely the White Wolf scene with me. ^^
And also the part in which Balto bursts out from behind the snow near the end of the movie; thats just an all-around happy, happy moment.
