hmmm.. seems to be an abundance of Balto and Jenna plushes on Ebay lateley..  guess Balto stuff isn't so rare after all ( of course the KFC figs and Snowglobes are a pain :p)
Really... I have to check that out. Thanks for the info.

ROCK ON!!

*nods*  Although some of those plushies are way too expensive, but i'm glad to see no one bids on them.  I guess this your chance to finally get Plushie, eh Star? ;)
What? Balto's becoming unpopular now? Oh well,if they're selling,I'm buying! Now if only I had enough cash....
Wow. You weren't kidding. I just checked out the Balto plushies on eBay. ๖-贄! I'm sorry, but I just don't have that kind of money to spend working where I work. They do look pretty cool and fluffy :) But I'd have to work like... two shifts to buy that AND make my car payments. Sorry... I'm just going on and on.

ROCK ON!!

I have a Balto plush and two Jenna plushies...The Balto my ex got me for Christmas one year through Ebay...he ended up paying over ๖ for it! It's not even in mint condition...I also got a near mint condition Jenna for only ผ! You can't go wrong with that! Although I did pay a little more for the other Jenna plush where she's laying down...not mint either.
well, I got my Jenna plushie back in Febraury on Ebay.. though that cost ๛.00 *Grumble* and that wasn't mint either. the tail looked icky and the one of the legs looks deformed. maybe I should chop the tail and the leg .. hmmm..

well, I have a I think a Malmute or Husky plush that looks like Steele. well he's mean looking anyway. he has the angry eyebrows on . so I'm guessing he could be Steele's Nephew or something.. now if only I could find an Aleu-like plush :p

Now is a really good time to buy a Balto plush, they go for less than 20 on ebay.. ignore the idiot with a buy it now of 70 or whatever.. I'm surprised these people don't check the competition cos then they'd realise why the plush isn't selling.
*Nods*  IT's always best to go for one before the holiday seasons.  They sell like crazy starting in November...
Auction markets tend to reach a broad sell-off during the summer months, namely as people start to take all of the "junk" they accumulated during the holidays and begin to try and scrape money together for summer trips and the like. You tend to find auction droughts occuring during the spring, however, when I suppose people have yet to engage in closet cleaning.

The holidays are always notorious: beginning in October (September for some markets) watch rising prices. Devious or clever individuals can often purchase something at low cost during the summer only to resell for inflated value during the autumn months. A good, if somewhat chancy, way to try and make some $$$.

That's pretty good advice, Nex.  And the moral of this thread seems to be get a summer job, buy stuff cheap, sell what you don't need during the holidays. ^^;

Good call. Cheaper lookalikes are the way to go. :) For ů.95, you could get this almost-Balto, complete with black ears:

Awww! It's cute! :)
I am getting another summer job. I am working as an assistant vet, and some doctors I have met want me to help people with down syndrome. I have a natural way with animals and that is what I will be doing to help the down sydrome patients. Some sort of therapy in the way animals heal people. This is my wise saying of the day.

*There is no better way to cheer someone up like having a puppy in your lap. It is but one of many ways animals can heal.*

I have never seen little balto figures like that before. Guess I learned something new today. :)

Hey,I always wanted a job where I could work with animals.Too bad, everywhere I go it's jam packed with workers already. At this rate,I'll go bankrupt in no time.(LOL! I spend quite a lot)

He's a cute lil' fella! So chubby! Think Balto gained some weight because he had two polar bears for the main course and a goose for dessert!

I know this thread is old . but I'm just noticing more Plushies this time on ebay now. and a Balto PVC fig to boot . ;)

(Edited by Starlioness at 9:10 pm on Aug. 22, 2003)

The prices aren't as insane as they used to be.  I'd say now would be a good time to bid on one. :)   I've got my eye on that PVC figure. I hope the prices don't go too high in GBP, conversion is quite ugly.
