A fourth balto?
How should they have it?

I'm kind of going back on what I said in another topic, about them not making a fourth Balto, but it wouldn't surprise me if there's ideas floating around.
I say this should be the last Balto, which I think should be like a fanfic I read, about Balto's early life. But it doesn't really start out like that. How the movie should start out is Balto in Rosie's house and with him getting affection by Rosie, who should be 15+ years old? Jenna shouldn't be in this part, being she'll probably be dead. Wolf-dogs life longer then dogs, as I read on a few sites so pretty much every dog that's been around Balto's early years should be either be dead or close to dying of old age. Once Rosie leaves the room, Balto lies down in front of the fire, after looking at a picture of Jenna with a good-bye, and goes to sleep. This is when we get to know about Balto's puppy life and how/why happened in his puppy life. Then once that's done, they should have the most dramatic bits of each of the other movies in this one, not redone but how they are in the other movies. Once that is done, we pretty much see the beginning of movie while he's still dreaming, but with Balto saying something like "I'll be seeing you, Jenna" as away of letting us know he's passing on in his dream. And if they wanted to make the movie little more tearful, they could show the statue of Balto and "Reach for the Lights" play, kind of like how it was done in the first movie.
This is how/what I would like to see. Would you see something different done or not?

Do you mean the third Balto, or is there really a rumour of a fourth?
Anyways, if you mean the third I think it should be done completely differently. I think Balto and Jenna should be the same age they were in B1 and B2, and Aleu is living with the wolf pack. It would explain how they had made it across the ocean and to the caribou.
But Nijou and Nava, who stayed behind, will have to come into Nome to survive 'cause they didn't follow the caribou like the others. But this will cause a HUGE uproar in Nome, and Steele and his henchdogs will blame Balto. Steele and Dixie will have a daughter, Ebony, who is against Balto too.
Balto will have to share the ship with Nijou and Nava because they need someplace to live, and Boris will be MAD that they are living with them! Steele and his daughter are plotting revenge against Balto and the wolves, fearing they will bring danger to Nome, but Ebony will learn that her own destiny is to live with the wolves and she will remain with Nava and Nijou, much to the disgust of her father. Aleu will have disturbing dreams of Ebony, not knowing who or what she is.
The story will take a different turn then, and, as the rumours predict, Balto's son Dingo will want to be a full wolf and join the small group living in the ship.
Steele and his gang are FURIOUS, so they attempt to drive the wolves (and wolf-dog) out of the town, so Balto has no choice but to leave and seek shelter elsewhere.
Steele will die in about the middle of the movie, by a bear, and Aleu and a wolf from the pack will have pups of their own!!
They should relate Jenna and Rosy into this a lot, too, but I'm not sure how they could do it.
NEways, that's my idea of Balto 3: WOC.

Wasn't talking about the third one, and I probably doubt they'll be a fourth but if there were to be, how would you want the movie to be?

Balto XXXVII: A Magical Jour-Oh, Who The Hell Cares?
Would be nice to see a prequel, but B3 ain't it, and I don't think Balto's past is worth the possibility of this turning into a heartless "babysitter video" franchise.
Not to mention that I wholeheartedly believe that some stories are best left untold. I'm sure everyone's ideas about Balto's childhood are much better than Follywood could lay down into stone.
If only someone could have convinced Lucas of this before it was too late...

I most certainly don't want to see a fourth Balto. Three movies are enough, I can't stand the thought of having anymore of them.

*Runs away before the number of Balto movies becomes so great, that one could build a house with each title, and not have to buy more than one of each.*

A prequel to Balto would be too depressing for a G rating. Another sequel would just be a disgrace.

Hello
*sprints* No! Ack, I agree, I don't really want to see Balto become a sort of "Land Before Time" thing.

Agreed!

The Land Before Time thing already happened with Balto but at least the characters go through changes in Balto.

I don't believe that the Balto III rumour is even true. I think it is a whole bunch of balogni (sp?) and the person who told us about it on their site was craking. They want to fool around with people. They won't make Balto III if they don't make a Little Mermaid III, Cinderellea III, Lion King III, Thumbolina III, etc. You get my drift. they need the make III's of some other movies before they make a Balto III. I don't think they will make III's for any other animated movies, so why do it for Balto?
103-107040115427 Dec 2003, 23:28 UTC
If the third was about Balto when he was younger or if it told the rest of Aleu's story that's all fine and dandy, but if they think they can pull off doing the entire family thats a little too much. They probably think if they keep making them that we will continue buying because all they want is money its not about Balto any more.

I get your drift, but that doesn't make any sense. Since when does the amount of sequels that one movie studio makes, affects another? That's like saying a studio isn't allowed to make a movie, unless another movie of a similar type comes out first. Or that Disney has to make a sequel before Universal is allowed to, because that's decent and proper. Or better yet, Balto 2 was made, only because TLK 2 came out. As you can see, while other studios may join the sequel bandwagon to stay in competition, they most certainly do not it for the reason you have stated.
As for Balto 3, while many may wish it was a hoax, it's quite true. There are already a number of sources that list production details, voice cast infomation and all of that stuff. I doubt they'd waste their time on fanning a lie. Also, some of us have already heard from an official source, that Balto 3 is indeed coming out. The only thing that seems to be confusing people so far is the fact there isn't a release date yet. January seems to be pure speculation.106-106196082229 Dec 2003, 01:04 UTC
All I was trying to say was that studios sometimes "boom sequels out" all around the same time. They know they can make more money this way.
I don't beleive if there really is a Balto III that it will be comming out anytime soon. Balto really isn't that popular of a movie today. Like I said before, they should wait until more "threequels" come out. The relese date is still not clear.
83-106196071629 Dec 2003, 09:05 UTC
Well dishing sequels out is just popular practice nowadays. They may do it around the same time to stay in competion, and because there is money to be made.
Well, that's a bit of change than what you said before (as you stated, Balto 3 didn't exist). A few of us are already in doubt over the release date of Balto 3 being in January. If we learned anything from Balto 2, two years ago, that it'll probably be delayed for while. Also, I doubt they should wait, if they movie is completely ready to go, or if they have idea, they shouldn't wait. Besides, having so much out and avalible makes it hard to choose, unless you've decided that you just want that one movie. And unless you have a lot of time to waste and money to spend, when the movie comes out really doesn't matter.
That and a lot of movies, don't movie beyond the sequel stage. Even though TLK has a third movie coming out in Feburary, it by all rights isn't a prequel.

What's TLK III supposed to be called? I just hope it is not about Timon and Pumba. *Yuck*

TLK III is called "TLK 1 1/2" and yes its about Timon & Pumba and their early lives before they met Simba.69-106279399530 Dec 2003, 02:51 UTC
Actually, to be more precise, TLK 1 1/2 is the same as the original. The difference is this: TLK focused around Simba while TLK 1.5, the exact same story, focuses on Timon and Pumba.
So it is neither a prequel or a sequel. It is a repeatquel.
83-106196071630 Dec 2003, 03:56 UTC
On that point, I've seen clips and images from the movie, and it looks quite interesting. It's not just solely about Timon and Pumbaa. It's also about that big chunk of time when Simba was growing up was spent with the duo. If you're curious about about what was untold in TLK, then see the movie. If you simply hate Timon and Pumbaa, stay far away.

That would be so sad if jenna died and Balto is sitting there looking at a picture of her.
84-106196076017 Feb 2004, 22:46 UTC
I hope they don't go there. I can't enjoy a super-sad movie. Besides, I like Jenna.
83-106196071118 Feb 2004, 07:47 UTC
I won't hope there will be more than four Balto movies!

Let's just pray that Balto doesn't go the way of The Land Before Time. You'd think they would give it up after the eighth movie!
