I remember a long time ago, years in fact at TBL chat we had a dicussion on Nikki, Kaltag and Star. As the years went by so did the Balto fandom and i've become curious to the views of others. The question?
Do you really think that the Trio was acutally a true threesome of friends? Or was Star considered to be an unwanted presence?
As I still see it, Nikki and Kaltag were good friends. Star was barely tolerated and not truely accepted. Notice that during the whole movie, except for the very end, not a word was actually said to Star. Things were spoken at him or around him, but ever actually to him.
Any other thoughts?

I'd have to say that I agree with you, but keep in mind that at the end, when Star said, (forgive me if i'm a little off) "They should make a statue outa him!" I think that the response that... err... kaltag *stratches leaky brain* gave to him showed that they (Nikki + Kaltag) accepted him into their group. the way he said it sarcastically, and then looked at him for the first time in a friendly way... as if it was a symbol that after all they went through together, they start to appreciate him. *shrugs* just my 2 cents at a ridiculous mark up ~_^

I think that Star (who is my favorite) was just tolerated, until the end of the movie.
I think Star said "They should build a statue of him."
Then Kaltag shoulders Star and Star groans, expecting to get bonked.
Kaltag says "You said it."
And a baffled Star says "I did."

I agree I think that Star just got accepted at the end of the movie in the starting he was not really talked to and kaltag always got mad at him and Nikki always shook his head like he was a stupid head. But in the end I think they all became pretty good friends.68-109293093519 Aug 2004, 23:03 UTC
I still wish they would put Star and Nikki and Kaltag and Steele in the next sequel. I doubt they will, but I still wish they would.
I also wish they had made a Star plush. I got a plush that looks somewhat like him, but not exactly the same.

Ooooo, I like. That reminds me of, well, me when i moved. �I just sort of talked to some people hoping to be friends and eventually I have become good friends with some. �I think the same thing with Star, he just started to hang out with Nikki and Kaltag and try to talk to them until he is accepted. �Just my thoughts.
