Check out this site http://groups.msn.com/BaltoARoleplayingGame
they have stolen a lot of content from websites such as myown, Grey Kitties, Animated Heros, Kaltags site etc but most of all Snow wolfs site. They have liturally copied and pasted html so entire pages are the same. If your content has been stolen you can stop them.
As I have said they have copied and pasted, that means they have directly linked your images. Simply change the file names and replace the old file names with a new image that says something like "THIEF!!" and it will appear on their site. I have done it, Grey Kitty has done it, and now Whitewolf has done it (see their main page). The owner has removed most of these images already so it isn't hard to get to them. That's just retarded. It's one thing to make a totally un-original site, but that goes too far. Directly linking from someone elses site? They could have at least downloaded, saved, and uploaded it themselves; and try to be a little inconspicuous.

Apparently if enough people complain to MSN about the site, it will be shut down. You must state that it is illegally using copywrited material and directly linking to other sites.
Material that is still on the site is as follows:
Silver wolf's site - Movie clips,Seperation bar with Balto on it
Snow wolf's site - the whole Balto 2 sections, comparing Balto to TLK, The Whitewolf section including music, character, whitewolf in B2, Whitewolf and Anui, whitewolf gallery
Tala - The Wolf Quest characters page
There are more such as from Razorwolf's site, Kaltag's etc but as far as I know they are not on this forum
All images are directly linked so you guys have the power to remove them. Unfortunately your html has also been copied.

Since my website is new and in french, they obviously didn't take anything, but I would have been really angry to see someone direct-linking without having asked before, and worse than that, saying that they aren't thiefs and criticizing the website they stole from !

What! these fools stole stuff from my friend tala. they are going down! How can people take stuff and claim it as there own. there is no honor in that.
Im gonna complain to msn as you suggested Fluke. I wonder if tala and the others knows about this? im gonna tell tala about this matter.

Ok that is just disgusting. I mean its one thing to take people's stuff, with their permission, and give them their credit but an entirely different one to just take their stuff. So everybody who reads these messages, report to msn!

well kinda i saw your fluke pic on your site and really liked it so i tried drawing it (no tracing I swear!) then recolored it. so i mean the idea for the drawin and stuff was yours but that drawing itself is mine. If you want me to change it i will. I hope i didn't offend you in any way for doin it.

I would prefer it if you removed it and didn't claim it as your own art as it really is just a recolour of mine. The lines are way too exact to be copied

Ok, thats cool. I'll change it in just a sec. Just in case you didn't know, I used the same pic on my own site so I'll change that one to, but it might take me a while to get a new pic up there, cause i don't have my scanner any more. But until i get it up there, would it be cool with you if on my thanks page, I give you your credit for drawing it.

Oh,my!It's like all the Balto sites,in one whole site.Those stinking theives.I ought to kill 'em!They put the Three Mile Marker on that as the worst site,just because they accused them!I think The Three Mile Marker is a better site than theirs!

Yeah, I saw that in AC's LJ. If there's one thing worse than having no originality, it's lying about it. I also noticed he copied my Balto 3 information page word for word. Ugh.
I think after I finish up with TIB for the day, I'm going to e-mail this person. Although I don't expect much to come out of it. I'm also going to e-mail Snow and Silver Wolf, just in case they haven't heard yet.

I hear they took images from your wolf quest characters page tala. they might have taken it down now with all the complaints im sure there getting. When I went and checked out there pictures. some did not come up when the page loaded.
so Flukes method of cancelling them out is working with the people doing it.

Who was the owner of 3-Mile Marker Site? I would like to know and we can info the owner and she can herself shut down the site and rebuild new one. While owner does that and we can go to MSN and have ourselfs a war with the insulter and the THIEF of the Three-Mile Marker!

I think its okay to look at some html code.. If you dont know how to do it. Its an okay thing. But just copy/paste the entire code. And then take credit for it.. Insane! But as i said: People are greedy.

That person never even replied to my second email. So I agree that webmasters are better off removing the files themselves. Which easy to do when someone directly links to files. And yeah, that little .htaccess code is fun. Check out this site:
